Yes, I did. And I have been traveling the world with my reentry permit instead of the passport. Just need to check the visa requirement. But you don’t need to apply a visa again for Mexico. Just bring both your reentry permit and greencard.

Just had my interview 2 days ago , it was easy and straightforward. I was approved on the spot and my status changed to "In line for your oath ceremony" a few minutes after the interview. The officer said it will take around 6 weeks or so to get the date... Good luck, everyone else who is still waiting for the interview/oath ceremony!

I applied on April 4 and just got my interview scheduled today for Aug 9

Yes, the Greencard that grants visa free to Mexico but they can use the Reentry Permit in leau of the passport. So you need to bring both instead of just the Reentry Permit.

Yes, REENTRY PERMIT is a travel document. So I guess you don’t need a visa!

That’s literally what I just said in the posts above. You need to apply for a visa to other countries if you have a Reentry Permit and Greencard. But some countries like Canada and Mexico may let you in without a visa. i went to Mexico by cruise and didn’t need one. Just a Reentry Permit and GC.

You can. Reentry Permit can be used instead of passport. Like if a person used to be refugee and couldn’t get a national passport from their own country, they can use the Reentry Permit like a passport

You definitely can! I don’t have a passport from my birth country so I have been using the Reentry Permit instead of the national passport to travel everywhere around the world from France, Japan, South Korea, Canada, Australia, and even a cruise to Mexico, Bahamas, Bermuda. The problem is I’m not sure if you have to apply for a visa using your Reentry Permit or not. Each country has a different law. But I have been using only my Reentry Permit and GC with no problem exiting and entering a country. I just have to apply for a visa to all the countries above except for when I arrived on a cruise.

I feel you. I had a hard time finding an answer as well! So, you just need to know if you need to apply for a visa or not? i just google it and it says you don’t.

Yea... I-131... it took mine 8 months last time when I applied in 2021...It has been pending for 7-8 months for the current application. Reentry Permit is a travel document

I am not here to ask for help on Reentry Permit. I have been traveling the world for years now with only a Reentry permit.
