  1. Yes, it correct. With HCM embassy, you have to wait until they reach out to you with PKT3. If you want one step ahead, send an inquiry to them.
  2. Did you follow the instructions from the embassy? https://www.ustraveldocs.com/vn/vn-iv-kvisa.asp
  3. Please fill out your timeline.
  4. The name on GC is correct since it based on name order of the passport. Anyone from VN with a long name like that will having same issue. Just go to SSN office and changed it like the GC, then correct the name order when eligible for N-400.
  5. For vaccines, you can go to either of two locations authorized by embassy: Trung tâm Kiểm soát Bệnh tật Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh 40 Nguyễn Văn Trỗi, Quận Phú Nhuận, Tp. Hồ Chí Minh – Điện thoại (84-28) 3844 5306 Bệnh viện Đa khoa Hồng Ngọc – Hà Nội 55 Yên Ninh, Quận Ba Đình, Hà Nội – Điện thoại: (84-24) 3927 5559 – 7305 8880 Since your fiancé from Hau Giang, why not just go to the first location and get everything done ?
  6. Never trust that processing time since we all know how USCIS work :).
  7. No need to worry. The expiration will be automatic extended by CO.
  8. Yes, it completely normal since it's has been only a month.
  9. New N-400 is the way to go. While waiting, practice more with communication and understand English. The N400 is not just answer civic questions then pass.
  10. Nothing wrong with the name since it was based on the passport. It really common with Vietnamese people and nothing to worry about it. You can change it to the correct order when apply for naturalization.
  11. @Crazy Cat: Can you edit the headline to same mother but different father. It's just a typo.
  12. Just helping my wife submitted two I-130 for sister/half-sister. The first case was easy and solid since it was the same mother and father. However, the second case is little bit complicated: mother is the same, but father is different. A side note: all the parents(all 3) are passed away long time ago. For the second case, beside the birth cert that showing the same mother, what's else do we need to submit to prove the relationship?
  13. There is no specific example since each case is different.
  14. Did you fly back to VN to getting married?
  15. In Vietnam culture, engagement party or " Dinh Hon" is not married. The party is simple that family on both side have a small chats, introduce, and agree for their son/daughter can go further with the relationship.
  16. N400 online is fast and more convenient than paper filling. You can add extra documents after filling if you file online, but not with paper filling.
  17. Check with consulate first before submit I-130 for the kids. US citizens born abroad doesn't means that you can't not pass to to child.
  18. Yes, it's a "country norm" for K1, and 95% you will be ask for this "Family tree" if you're K1 applicant. The embassy will not tell you about it because it's come from experience of the members from Vietnam's group. Anyway, just fill out the form as much as you can and submit it and wait.
  19. USCIS will not care if you lost your job or not because you're LPR at that time and you know that you have I-751 need to be take care of. For now, new I-130 then wait.
  20. This RFE is "common" in Vietnam, which is called "Family tree" and it caused by a reason: family's members introduce someone in VN to their son, brother, or sister. The form they asked for is "family tree" worksheet. Look like the OP not doing their homework since they not bring a "family tree" at the interview.
  21. That individual is a rare case, maybe 1 out of 10000? Technical, yes you can try and it up to you, but no one can assured a quick outcome.
  22. Completely normal. Give it a week or two.
  23. Again. Unless you enter that country with Visa, they can ask for a round trip ticket to make sure you going back to home country. However, you now already have a Vietnamese passport and enter Vietnam as a VN's citizen, so there is no point to ask for a round trip ticket(unless they want some coffee money.). The same thing when you enter USA with US passport.
  24. You're enter Vietnam as a Vietnamese's citizen, so what the point of asking for the ticket?
