Update! My new card is being processed! Which means my 485 was approved & im officially a resident! I'm the happiest person right now! Been waiting for this moment for so long & the wait is finally over! Only took a day and a half! Good luck to everyone and keep those cups half full! ☺️

Had my interview this morning in Dallas we were in an out in 20 minutes. Only questions about our marriage was where did we meet and when did we get married. Super nice lady it was like a normal conversation. She said it would take approximately 30 days because they are short staffed & just depends on her work load. & probably had to go through supervisor first. Overall I feel it went well! Now to check For a statues update daily. Lol  asked all 485 packet questions as well.

Hello!

 I received EAD 3/18. Went to apply for SS  3/20 which I already had it was just expired so I thought it would be quick. However the lady said they had to send it to Immigration to approve it idk for what reason. It's now 4/11 I called a few days ago asking for status and they said it takes 4-8 weeks max. I still cannot get my DL 😠 Which is priority for me. Did anyone else have this issue? I don't understand what has to be checked or approved?! Everyone else here said it was 2 weeks. I'm in Dallas TX by the way. TIA!

I've been waiting for this for so long I don't even know how to react. I'm in a daze lol 

anyway GL to everyone else still waiting on it & GL to those few lucky ones that are scheduled for an interview already!

I will be going to DMV Monday! Woot woot! I hope I can simply renew my DL from last yr. I got it with (DACA)  so I won't have to wait for a driving test and stuff. Anybody know?

Being that my combo card is on it's way my husband and I are already planning our first trip together out of the country

however I was wondering if it was ok to take a vacation with AP? Or do you need a motive/emergency other than wanting to lay down by a beach with a nice cold one? ?

Lol, I think it's because most of those who are on this forum already have their EAD so they're probably now busy looking for work or going to interviews or already working.  Btw my status hasn't updated either, my EAD was approved March 9 and it still says card in production, and I already went to my interview and was approved but the status still says Interview Is Scheduled.  Hopefully I get texts/updates this week. 

Right you were the lucky one who got approved on the spot congratulations!  & yes mine has been good about updating throughout the entire process. I just got an update that it was mailed out today!

But also there's been many people on here that got everything in the mail without any online updates... USCIS doesn't seem to reliability update the status on the website in all cases. My I-485 still says "fingerprint fee received" even though I got a notice to appear for interview. 

Yes I know it's not reliable at all. So I'm just going to hope I get it this week! ?

Suss is going to be right on her estimate or off by 1 day. Priority mail from Missouri to here usually takes 2 days. 

Was the status updated online also? 

We were approved on same day and my status hasn't changed online. I don't have the text/email updates set up.

Today in the mail I got two I-797 Notices of Action - approvals.

One for EAD+AP stating it's a combo card and explaining about both benefits - which surprised me, usually the explanations weren't that good.

Another one for AP only.

 

This gives me some relief as I now know that they got my address change properly for EAD and AP too even though they'd only confirmed in writing the change for the I-485.

 

The wait for the combo card continues...

I received the same today! Congrats! Almost at the finish line! For now.... lol

I loved getting the USPS email alerts every time it was scanned somewhere seeing it get closer and closer!!  

I'm constantly checking it as if it would magically show up from one minute to the next. Haha I'm glad this process is almost over! My anxiety has been through the roof for too long

The card is sent as a "package" (although in a an envelope) since it has tracking. It will show up on the packages dashboard.
