I remember your post @NoMansLand2020 about tampo. Your wife has been showing serious red flags before. I hated how in that thread people merely think tampo is just some cultural difference. That's classic manipulation tactic. Let's not be naive here.

Looking at your recent replies you seem to be leaning on the nuclear option. I'd even recommend going to the police station and filing a report about that incident in the car. She put yours and the kids' lives in danger.

This is what my dad did for my grandmother who was born during WW2. The churches thankfully had good record keeping system and govt agencies honor the baptismal cert alongside the PSA letter starting no birth record exists.

I submitted my N-400 online last Sept 29 based off on the 3 Year rule (entered the US Oct 2017 via K1).

Sept 29, 2021 - Filed Online, Receipt Notice, Biometrics Reuse. 

Nov 8, 2021 - Interview Scheduled

Dec 14, 2021 - Interview and Oath taking (received my Naturalization certificate the same day)

There doesn't some to be any rhyme or reason to it. At least not in my case. Upon submitting mine the estimated time was 14 mos which went down to 7 mos a day after. Then after receiving an interview notice it was 9 mos. I became a naturalized citizen in less than 3 most.

The N-400 is the easiest step of all.

I applied last year September 29 and had my interview and oath taking December 14. I became a citizen in 2 months and 16 days.

The journey is not quite over yet. I have applied for my US passport, won't get it until March. I still need to adjust my status with SSA. I have applied for a passport card (only $30) so I can mail it to SSA instead of my Naturalization certificate (thing costs $600).

I was never asked to show my vax card but the USCIS office was very strict on masks.

I tried logging on my USCIS account to see how you can navigate within the page but I cannot log in, it says page blocked. Sorry I'm not much help but I am curious.

I believe you should be able to update it during the interview. I'm not 100% positive though. There was an error on my employment date which I didn't even realize until the IO asked about it. I saw her enter the information/correction in her computer.

Before the start of my interview, I was told that there are 10 questions and I only needed to get 6 right. They won't ask all 10 questions if you already answered 6 correct. I was asked these questions;

How many supreme court justices are there?
What's the ocean in the west coast?
What's the ocean in the east coast?
What 1 important thing did Lincoln do?
What is the emancipation proclamation?
What 1  important thing did Martin Luther King do?

And for the reading and writing portion, the officer had me read 1 question on a tablet (What is the capital of the United States?) and write the answer on the same tablet screen with a stylus.

Good Luck, going by notantifun and Texas Boy experience, you should get the Oath date letter within two weeks of the interview and in some cases the interview is approved after the interview subject to quality review and for some this review is also completed the day of the interview and if the field office has jurisdiction over your county, you might get the oath scheduled that day or next day. For most of us, this is not the case as we have to be patient and wait.

I am very thankful for this community. Every step of the way from I-129 to N-400, VJ was my go-to. My journey started in January 2017 and became a US citizen just last week. It still feels surreal to this day, like it hasn't sunk in yet. 

And you're right, next is passport. I have  scheduled my appointment next week. I have stumbled upon this thread here on VJ about updating the citizenship status with the SSA which is another step for us after becoming citizens. The pandemic is making it challenging to go personally to the SSA office. The other option is to do it by mail but SSA requires you mail them the original documents. The naturalization certificate costs $600 to renew. A few VJ members have done theirs using the passport card which cost less (only $30 I believe), so it's less anxiety and headache.

The San Antonio field office was very efficient. I was dreading having to do the oath another date as it's a 2+ hour drive. Fortunately, I got the same day oath ceremony even though we waited 4+ hours in the car. It was all worth it. 

I unfortunately have no knowledge of the oath scheduling in SA but the upcoming holiday may have something to do with it.

You beat me by 1 day. Mine was 2 mos and 18 days. I filed N400 Sept 27 and approved Dec 14. Luckily did my oath the same day.

I went through the psych eval when I processed my K1 in 2017. I had the pleasure of experiencing the double whammy; Sputum test and Psych Eval. I started the medical in June and received my Medical 3rd week of August. 

It was due to a self harm scar on my wrist. I only had to meet one time with a psychologist at St. Luke's. It was like an interview. They asked about the incident (happened when I was a teenager, I was 35 time of med exam), what lead to it and what my childhood and family life was like, etc. 

I was very honest with my answers and expressed that my current mental health is very good by stating that I regret my actions and have dealt with it by communicating my issues with the family: apologies were made, etc. I told the doctor that my home and social life were good and that I was excelling at my job.

Finally a US Citizen!!!!

I had my interview at 8:40am and took the oath at 2pm. The process was so quick and the San Antonio field office is so organized and very efficient. I took the oath with around 30 people in the ceremony room. All are required mask, no picture taking allowed. We were in and out in 5 minutes.

Hope it wasn't a long drive to the USCIS office.

I'm praying hard I get to do the oath taking the same day. The USCIS in San Antonio, Tx is an almost 3 hour drive 1 way.

My only little joy is that my processing time dropped from 12 months to 11 months, (I know that this is an automated update because we are in the first day of the new month but I keep myself happy with these little things😀)

 

Possibly people are getting busier with the approaching holidays.

My estimated time until decision actually went up (12 months from 7) when my interview was scheduled so I don't think it has any meaningful information at this point. At least not to me.

I do wanna share that in preparation for my interview on Dec 14, I have printed all the documents I submitted as evidence (tax transcripts, joint checking and savings statements, etc.) and the amount of paper I used stressed me out. Specially since I've seen so many in VJ mentioned that the USCIS officer didn't ask to look at any of them. But it would be unwise to not bring them with me.
