I'm a German citizen who used to reside in Denmark
January 06, 2007 - Married in the US on Visa Waiver Program
January 13,2007 - Married in church in Germany (no legal value)
January 26, 2007 - Went to Copenhagen to file I-130 -> refused because of Adam Welsh Act
March 27, 2007 - moved to Germany
April 02, 2007 - my wife receives German residency -> wish that's how fast it would go in the US
April 04, 2007 - I-130 mailed to Frankfurt Embassy (NOTE: FILE IN PERSON - IT'S FASTER)
April 24, 2007 - card charged with 190 $
May 16, 2007 - USCIS tells me they received our petition Apr. 24th and that it takes 60-90 days for approval
June 19, 2007 - Our petition is approved and Packet 3 is sent, but we don't know, since the mailservice sends it back to the embassy with the note "recipient unknown"
July 09, 2007 - I email the USCIS and ask about our petition
July 12, 2007 - USCIS answers my email to say that the petition has been approved and that I should contact the embassy for further information (I'm elated and don't contact the embassy thinking that packet 3 will show up in the mail on it's own)
July 18, 2007 - I email the embassy and ask if there's anything I can do
July 19, 2007 - The embassy tells us that Packet 3 was sent out on June 19, but returned to them
July 19, 2007 - I ask them to send the packet again
July 20, 2007 - Embassy answers email and says packet 3 has been sent again
July 24, 2007 - I email the embassy to inquire the exact day the packet was mailed
July 24, 2007 - The embassy informs me that the packet was sent on the 23rd
July 25, 2007 - Packet 3 arrives in mail
July 26, 2007 - we send DS230 and OF169 in mail (as" Einschreiben")[/color]
