Gotta compare them to a similar ICE car, like a Camry.  NOW how does that price tag look?

Some additional eye opening facts about EV raw material extraction.

Workers Are Dying in the EV Industry’s ‘Tainted’ City

A decade ago, Labota was a fishing village; today it’s been subsumed into a sprawling city centered around IMIP, a $15 billion, 3,000-hectare industrial complex containing steelworks, coal power plants, and manganese processors, with its own airport and seaport. Built as a joint venture between Chinese and Indonesian industrial companies, it is at the heart of Indonesia’s push to supply the electric vehicle market with nickel, a core component of batteries.

Rocketing demand for electric vehicles, combined with supply disruptions caused by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, have made Indonesia—and IMIP—a critical link in the supply chains of EV manufacturers. That's especially true for Tesla, which has signed multibillion-dollar deals with companies at the site and is reportedly in talks to set up its own manufacturing facility in the Southeast Asian country.

Agree with all of that.  Just wanted to add that I hope you continue to grow and follow the saying:

Don is an idiot and always has been. He's made misogynistic comments for years and his behavior toward coworkers is terrible. One of the reasons why Cooper and Cohen were not allowed to drink during the NYE show this year, is because of how out of control Don gets when drinking. If he couldn't drink, then no one could drink. He is not and never has been in his prime. He's washed up.

I have to say that as I am closing in on my late 30s (I maintain that 37 is still mid-30s) that I feel far more together than I ever have before. In my prime, so to speak. But what I hear from older colleagues and relatives is that 40s are even better than 30s, and that what I am starting to feel now gets even better. I am good with that!

Frankly, and nothing to do with his politics, but I think Don Lemon has zero business saying when a woman is or is not in her prime. A woman is in her prime when she tells you she feels in control of her life, confident and excited to crack on with the business of life. This could very well last for decades, much like it does for men.

Why is Biden going to Ukraine today?  What is significant to the US in what is going on there?  Is he going to check on the Biden family investments, or promise more taxpayer money to the corrupt Zelensky?

Well, to be fair, it was temporary and expires in May anyway.  You know, because Biden decided a while back that covid would be done by May.

Yeah, that is one big drawback in Teslas in general for me.  Very harsh, and plasticky feeling inside.  Plus the performance ones have been having problems with suspension and wheels, I hear.

When their price drops by half, I might consider buying a cheap quality interior at a fair, cheap price.

Fairly impressive?   Did you push the pedal more than halfway to the floor?  I test drove a base model 3 over two years ago and was blown away.  Have since tested a Y performance, and it was even more amazing.  Would love to test a S performance, but since I would never buy one, feel too guilty to ask to drive one.

Yep.  And the fact that it nearly ruined a man's life is no bog deal.

I wonder if any of the VJ Kavanaugh haters will come forward and admit they were wrong?

Humans are stubbornly proud creatures. The deeper they dig into their positions, the harder it for them to admit they were wrong even in the face of actually doing physical harm to themselves. Any changes in thinking aren't likely to be made public, but when they are alone with their thoughts there is a lot of hand wringing. I have known plenty of people on both sides of the covid vaccination issue that have quietly confided in me at one point in time or another they questioned their thoughts on it.

By the way, the term "anti-vaxxer" is the silliest thing I have ever heard and I cannot believe anyone with an ounce of intelligence would use it other than to try to make the other side look crazy. I have never met a single person in my life who hasn't had vaccinations for a multitude of things (tetanus, pneumococcal, flu, measles, mumps, polio, chicken pox and so on). But if you don't take this one particular vaccine you get some nonsensical label thrown on you, which I can only assume is an attempt to bully or shame people into taking it. It's like saying you are anti-dog because you don't own a golden retriever or anti-car if you don't own a Kia, it's moronic.
