  1. Hi everyone! My husband and I were pleasantly surprised to learn earlier this week that his parents' I-130 was approved While on the phone with them today, they asked if it was possible to know how long it takes from receiving the approval notice to having the visa interview at the embassy. They live in Iran, so they would either have to do interview in Abu Dhabi, Yerevan, or Ankara. Thank you in advance for your help!
  2. Hi, everyone! The I-130 form asks that a document be uploaded with the beneficiary's name and foreign address if their native language does not use Roman letters. The form doesn't specify what type of document I need to upload -- should it be a formal/official document (e.g., an electricity bill, etc) or do can I just write the name and address myself using the non-Roman letters and upload that? Thanks in advance for everyone's help! 😃
  3. Hi @SalishSea and @Mike E! I apologize for the delay in responding back. Thank you both for your help! @Mike E Just to ask a few more clarifying questions: Will the temporary green card be valid for entry and exit, just like a regular green card? How long can they use this card for? And what process will we have to initiate in order for them to have a permanent green card? @SalishSea Yes, they do want to stay Thank you both again!!
  4. Hi, everyone! 😊 My husband and I have started to fill out I-130 forms for his parents, who currently live in Iran. We are both U.S. citizens. His parents asked us today if, once their visa is granted to travel to the U.S., they would have to remain in the U.S. while their adjustment of status for a green card is being processed. I wasn't sure what the correct answer would be, so I thought I'd ask the community here for some guidance. Thanks so much in advance for your help!!
