I migrated to the US with a K-1 visa and I've been a green card holder for about 1 year ever since I received it.
I plan to go back to my home-country (Chile) to spend Christmas and New year's with my family together with my husband.I am staying for 3 weeks only.
I am not too sure whether I need an I-131, because I see in other websites (including the .gov one) that you need that document if you plan to stay outside the US for more than 1 year, but I don't see any information like that on the original instruction package... so I am a bit unsure if I'm supposed to complete it or not.

Hello,
I migrated to the US with a K-1 visa and I've been a green card holder for about 1 year ever since I received it.
I plan to go back to my home-country (Chile) to spend Christmas and New year's with my family together with my husband. I am staying for 3 weeks only.
I am not too sure whether I need an I-131, because I see in other websites (including the .gov one) that you need that document if you plan to stay outside the US for more than 1 year, but I don't see any information like that on the original instruction package... so I am a bit unsure if I'm supposed to complete it or not.
Thank you for your help.
