  1. I just looked for you and found this post. I really hope your case moves soon! Best of luck! You deserve it.
  2. You should get a letter in the mail telling you which office it's been sent to.
  3. My Grandmother naturalized forty years after she arrived here. My Grandfather naturalized as soon as he was eligible. I just found this out recently, and will never know the reasons she waited so long. I do know that she was proud of her citizenship and voted with passion. Best of luck to your mother! I'm sure it will be a proud day for her!
  4. At the interview, you will have to show proof of living together as a married couple. They will realize you haven't been together for very long, and won't have a huge amount of documents, but they will want to see something. A health insurance policy with both names, a joint bank account, and bills or other mail addressed to both are helpful.
  5. My husband's N-400 interview was scheduled when his ROC hadn't been approved. I went with him, just in case. The did both interviews, and didn't include me at all. He was approved and took the oath that day! With USCIS, always be prepared for everything because anything can happen! Best of luck to you!
  6. Nothing has made sense! I was anxious, too, and then it all happened so suddenly.
  7. My husband's oath ceremony was scheduled on the day of his N-400/I-751 interview, for later that same day. We got update after update that day. It was funny. After the interview, while we were waiting for the ceremony, we got an update that he was placed in line for an oath ceremony. A little while later, an update told us that the oath ceremony was scheduled. Then we got an update that the I-751 was approved. Then, after the ceremony, we got an update that his Naturalization Certificate had been issued. LOL! I don't think there is a typical timeline for this. I hope to hear that yours is very soon!
  8. Some of those are mentioned in the interview letter. Best of luck to you!
  9. I need to amend my comment because it isn't quite accurate. I think that if we were only concerned with the N-400, we would have taken along some evidence of us living as a married couple, since the three year rule is based on marriage. Thank you!
  10. The list of required documents is in the interview letter. Beyond that, since your I-751 has been approved, those may be all you need. We took a bunch of stuff with us because we had a pending I-751, Just know the answers to the civics test questions!
  11. We're home, after a long day. A nice thing happened that I want to share. The IO wanted to see a bank statement from my personal account. We had only sent joint account statements, because my personal account has nothing to do with it, and I was confused. Then, I realized that she must have noticed transfers of money from my account into our joint account and wanted to see the reason for that. She said that normally we would have to go home and email the statement to her, and the oath would have to be scheduled for another day. Instead, she said that if we could get it to her within 15 minutesl, Neil could take the oath today. We got it to her and Neil is now a citizen!
  12. Done! Thank you to the wonderful and supportive people here who helped make it a wonderful journey! I plan to hang around and continue helping others as my way of giving back. Besides, I like it here😊
  13. Thank you! She only wanted recent statements, from 2023. A bank statement satisfied her. We did have our 2022 tax transcript, and she looked briefly at it.
  14. It was a combo interview, but I wasn't included. He passed and his oath is at 3:00 today!!!
  15. I'm sitting in the waiting area of the Mount Laurel field office and they just called my husband in. I wasn't allowed to join him, so I'm guessing this won't be a combo interview. Either way, it will be so good to have this part over.
  16. Ignoring the message is never a good idea. The required income is based on net income and not gross income. You do need a joint sponsor.
