  1. Those terrorism/coup questions are also contained in every immigration form my husband has ever had to fill out.
  2. English proficiency is part of the deal when you want to naturalize. It’s not “racist” for the immigration officer to require that- it’s the law.
  3. I don’t think you understand how the visa bulletin/family preference visas work. You should study it. SusieQQQ has not been on VJ since November of 2022.
  4. I think you would benefit from paid help so that you can file properly this time- either from a lawyer, or an immigration service.
  5. “Need them to be here by the end of the year”? It will take at least two years, unfortunately. Done away with interviews for immigrant visas…..? Whoever told you that also has some waterfront property in Arizona for ya 😉
  6. Suggest you look at the timelines for that, as well as for the EAD and the green card itself. Nothing is fast, or cheap.
  7. Not at all. A speciality physician would be an oncologist, a radiologist etc.
  8. Not for dentists. There is no shortage of dentists working in the US.
  9. Exactly. Unlike nurses and doctors, there is not currently a dentist shortage in the US.
  10. Are you licensed to practice in the US state where you want to work?
  11. How will you pay for their health insurance? It is likely to be several thousand dollars per month.
  12. Presumably for the same reason you’d move to the US- so you can be together.
  13. Very unlikely she’d get tourist visa. Just do things the right way and file the correct petition. Why would you even consider filing the wrong petition???
  14. I don’t recommend doing this if both parties live in the US. Moroccan courts have no jurisdiction over residents of the US, and we’ve seen issues with the legality of such divorces here on VJ.
  15. Totally makes sense. Hopefully you get some more answers. I didn’t realize that the Morocco’s government controls outbound immigration like that.
  16. So Morocco has some type of outbound immigration control, like Philippines?
  17. It will take two years, and the IR visa is your only option.
  18. I don’t know of specific cases, but same-sex marriage is legal in all 50 states, so there would not be any issues there with local religious politics, as US consulates operate under US law. The name on the visa would need to match the name on the passport it is placed in. Maybe others with more knowledge of Morocco can speak to this, but it might be better to look at getting married outside of Morocco or via Utah online, and pursuing a spousal visa.
  19. I was just thinking about this, and the only plausible explanation I can find is exactly that- outlier record-fast approvals can positively skew the overall performance data while retaining the backlog that supports large fee increases.
  20. My guess would be photos that are staged to look candid…. As opposed to ‘posed’ family portraits.
