  1. Yes, you received faulty advice. The terms of the B visa do not permit work of any kind.
  2. I see. Yes, the visa itself confers no work authorization.
  3. 3-4 days per WEEK? IMO, that’s pushing it. CBP doesn’t like it when people abuse their B visa privileges by using them to LIVE in the US. What job does she have that would allow that chunk of time off every week? Hopefully you both understand that she cannot work remotely on a B visa.
  4. It depends. If they want to do a second interview, you’d need to try to get the case transferred to a different consulate.
  5. Why Russia? As her interview will not be there. You need to retain domicile in the US to sponsor her. Will you be relying on a joint sponsor?
  6. I think you lack understanding of basic immigration terms. There is no way around the requirement for him to have a valid CR-1 or K-1 visa if you wish to bring him to the US to live and work legally.
  7. The fraud is entering the US with the intent to adjust status. He needs a valid visa intended for the purpose of immigrating through marriage to a USC, which would be CR-1 or K-1.
  8. US immigration takes time and planning. You can't just move here during the process. You can't live or work in the US on ESTA or a B visa. Your wife needs to petition you for a spousal visa with consular processing. It will take up to two years. I suggest you both thoroughly research the entire visa process, including which documents and forms are needed, and how your wife will be able to sponsor you as an immigrant.
  9. Not sure what you mean "clean way" to relocate for work? There are 100% legal ways to immigrate, but there are no sneaky ways for you to avoid the queue that everyone else is waiting in. US immigration requires planning, time, money, knowledge and patience. I suggest you both read up on it to fill in the gaps in your knowledge.
  10. NO. A certified copy that you PURCHASE from the county or state that owns the vital record. Wow…..
  11. Method of payment: Cash in a shoebox left in dumpster behind Vinny’s Pizzeria is my guess.
  12. She needs to pay that bill asap.
  13. This went from “attorney said” to “USCIS notice said”……
  14. Btw, if you are thinking to eventually petition him, you’ll want to have a solid plan in place to pay for his health care here in the US. Being that he’s already 70, he may not qualify for Medicare until he’s 80 or older. People in that age group are high users of the health care system. You’ll want to plan on paying $1k+/month for insurance premiums, not including the out of pocket.
  15. Have you looked into getting medical insurance here in the US? Affordable Care Act? Not sure what your employment situation is, but certain types of employers are known to offer excellent insurance, such as hospitals and city/county/state offices. So sorry for all you’ve been through. Hang in there and best luck.
  16. Without the other forms mentioned, she will have to wait until receiving the GC to work or travel. Current GC interview wait times can be 18 months, depending on your local field office backlog. Why didn’t you petition her properly when she was in NZ? If you also file for the work permit and travel document, it will still be at least 8 months before she can work, or return to the US if she leaves. Is she okay with not working for that long?
  17. Why not just order a certified copy of the marriage certificate??? USCIS will not accept some foreign ‘report of marriage’ in lieu of a legitimate marriage certificate.
  18. Plus, travel medical insurance does not cover routine stuff that a tourist should have taken care of before departing for their vacation. It is for catastrophic coverage.
  19. And for good reason. 99.9% chance he would not return to Pakistan.
  20. Why would someone on a visitor visa who had never paid into the system qualify for Medicare??? Those are chronic issues that do not require US-based specialty care- there is no “emergency”. Just petition him for an immigrant visa and wait your turn in the queue like everyone else.
