  1. Not what I said at all. We were talking about the protocols of a specific hospital, whose internal workings are not set by the US govt. The CDC requirements for testing might be, but the minutiae of how it is done is clearly not. I'm sure even you can see the futility of OP's wish to contact "his government" to complain about his perceived poor service at St. Lukes
  2. Where are they now? You'll definitely want to familiarize yourself with what it will cost for them to get health insurance. Hopefully they have significant savings amassed. It can be >$1k per month per person.
  3. I promise “your government” doesn’t make policy for hospitals in other countries.
  4. Can you not do any sort of work for pay? Bringing over an immigrant is expensive. If you can't afford to do that, is moving to his country an option?
  5. Totally agree. Ours was 18 months to approval without an interview, and still haven’t filed N-400.
  6. Still, your current income is ZERO. You need a joint sponsor.
  7. There is no sponsorship for a B visa, and as mentioned, it’s very very unlikely he will get one. Adjusting on a B visa impacts your relatives’ future ability to visit.
  8. Your sister may petition you for an immigrant visa, but a visa won’t be available to you for maybe 20 years.
  9. Not much you can do. Show strong ties to home. You wouldn’t be able to adjust through a sister anyway, so there’s that.
  10. Personally, I’d prioritize getting it in hand over the vacation or whatever. We have seen soooo many stories on VJ of what a huge pain it is when GC delivery backfires.
  11. Neither of my husband’s GCs required a signature for delivery.
  12. That makes no sense. The U.S. government does not control who comes into Germany. The DCF would be for the Indonesian wife to get an immigrant visa for the U.S.
  13. Hey C. Cat, if you get put in the paddy wagon and dragged to the slammer for egregious photocopying, we’ll help you make bail!
  14. I-130 is for immigration to the U.S.
  15. Edited to add to your edit: I’m not trying to make you feel stupid. Your story is bizarre, and I was trying to understand it. Never mind, over and out.
  16. It’s not due to Covid these days. Seems odd to book travel when you need a waiver ?? Is it a 601? Those can take a year or more.
  17. I thought this absurd story sounded familiar. OP, you got similar feedback on your thread from last month.
  18. Definitely not. People who have applied post-COVID already have their green cards. This 7 years is completely atypical, and something is very wrong here.
  19. SEVEN years??? You have way bigger issues than whether to file an I-130…. Have you not pursued a decision on your case for all these years?
  20. You will need a waiver.
