    You voluntarily shared your ‘business’ on a public forum, so expect a variety of feedback. Anyway, if it was denied in error and you have a competent attorney, it should be nothing to worry about. Hopefully you are submitting the appeal asap.

    It was probably not a great idea to adjust on a non-immigrant visa, honestly. Why didn’t he just petition you properly for an IR-1, he literally had years to do it? Also- now you are out of status and no longer in a period of authorized stay, ie subject to removal. Your EAD is also no longer valid. What does your lawyer recommend?

    Perhaps you have very old info? Petitioner state of residence and service center for I-129f petitions have not been connected since at least >2015, if ever. Vermont processes a very small percentage of petitions that have certain types of criminal background (AWA). Otherwise they all are processed in California.

    What is the basis for transferring? You cannot "consulate shop." If you have moved to another country and have legal status there, then it is possible.

    I would guess it could be, since GE is a way to bypass some CBP/DOS/DHS security processes, and travelling to a high risk country could compromise security. I do not know for sure.

    You cannot do that, it’s fraud. Get started on filing a petition for consular processing. Your husband will not have an immigrant visa by December. These things take some planning.

    I get that. Most of us here have faced that, but many (like myself) went through very low fraud consulates. We still had multiple meetings and lots of time spent in person before filing. Just trying to give you advice to help with best chances for approval, given your consulate.

    There are countless posts here on VJ over the years by people who married and then were denied SS cards due to the SAVE issues. While it’s fine in theory, our experience here has generally been the opposite.

    “Love to meet”? You cannot marry via the online Utah program and file a petition without meeting.

    Expenses related to a choosing an international relationship and work time off won’t be considered by department of state in evaluating the visa application. Not even a little. Best chance for an approval is significant time spent together in person, they way a normal relationship develops.

    “Please advise” about what? What they were told is correct. We always tell people here on VJ to apply for the SSN immediately when arriving, before marrying.

    There is no “waiting period” for refilling a second K-1 after a denial. Not sure where you’re getting some of theee ideas.

    Have you read the requirements for a K-1? None of that is required. We didn’t submit any photos at all.

    Your 129F will be adjudicated at the California Service Center, not Texas. I think it’s taking 6-12 months on average.

    As with visa denials, you must have some idea of why your AOS would be denied….. Could even be because of statements made to CBP when you entered (presumably on a non-immigrant visa?), questions about the bonafides of your marriage, etc.

    No. You cannot file to remove conditions until two years (minus 90 days) from the “resident since” date on your green card. There is no “additional” to pay for requesting an SSN on the visa application form. You can call (or go in person) to the SSA to check the status of your card if you’re worried about it.
