  1. LOL, I did a K1. I understand the process. It was not clear in this thread that the OP realized the difference between civil surgeons and his GP when it comes to United States immigration. Sure, he can wait and do it stateside for AOS, at a premium price.
  2. Agreed! Next up will be a gofundme and letter writing campaign because its just so unfair.
  3. The girlfriend does not understand the system. There is no complaining to the manager. He wasn't sent back for "being poor," he was sent back for perceived immigrant intent.
  4. Delays/denial of the visa, obviously. It is always recommended by consulates not to book tickets, quit jobs, sell properties etc until you have the visa in hand.
  5. Hopefully you have a refundable airline ticket, in case of delays or denial.
  6. It’s always been the party line here that only USCs are guaranteed entry. There could be situations in which a GC holder was inadmissible, due to events that transpired overseas, etc.
  7. The federal FY starts October 1. So, there will not be an H2B visa available for you in January.
  8. Well it would obviously depend upon the other country’s visa laws. The question is far too broad, and this website pertains to US visas.
  9. I believe H2B has reached the numerical cap for this fiscal year, has it not? I read that at USCIS.gov.
  10. Which consulate? I have not heard of any that do not ask for it.
  11. Are you asking if you will be able to get a tourist visa to visit the United States?
  12. That makes NO sense. A birth certificate that is reissued will not have a different DOB.
  13. I'm confused. How is it that you're seeking US citizenship for him?
  14. Also, not sure what an attorney could do to help. There is no waiver or loophole for the financial requirements of sponsoring immigrants. And if your income is low enough that you are below the 125% of the FPL, I would think you'd be hard pressed to afford attorney's fees.
  15. Where are you getting the idea that those things/proof of relationship is required for a K-1? You need high quality evidence of the one required in-person meeting in the immediate two years prior to filing.
  16. I’d look at ways to increase your income immediately. Better job, second job. They are now out of status and subject to deportation. Have they received an NTA?
  17. You should google the visa bulletin and familiarize yourself with it a bit. I know it’s confusing.
