  1. Many, many people are able to learn to adapt to driving on the other side of the road. I drove the length of NZ's north island without a problem. That will not be considered in the totality of your financial situation and the choice you're making to not work.
  2. Only you can determine your own priorities. Waivers are currently taking >one year. One concerning thing - are you really okay with allowing your elderly, retired mother to support you and your wife indefinitely? What is your plan for providing for your own health insurance, and insurance for your wife when/if you are able to bring her here? It doesn't sound to me like you're prepared to support an immigrant in the United States.
  3. Then it is even more perplexing, because how is anyone here going to know the answer to when you knew you wanted to get married?
  4. Oh whoops, I must have misread and didn’t realize that you’d already redone the original Mexican divorce. Yeah, I can’t see how you can satisfy the requirement of showing that you’re both legally able to marry, as your marriage to the UK husband was obviously legal. Which one are you thinking of annulling? If the first marriage, the dates would still be problematic. I think you’ll have to divorce and remarry the same person in order to satisfy USCIS, and then file for a spousal visa. Legal ability to marry and legal (non-bigamist) marriages are non-negotiable.
  5. Again, it doesn’t sound like you qualify, for multiple reasons. But it’s free to ask. Most of us here on VJ have had unavoidable periods of separation from our partners. It’s just the nature of US immigration.
  6. You should have a tax transcript for 2022, because the filing deadline for that was 6 months ago, in April. Best evidence of current income is current payslips or employer letter stating current annual income. If your income is marginal, you may want to consider a joint sponsor, especially for when it comes time to adjust status and the income requirement is higher.
  7. Let me guess, now you’re in a bind because household income is inadequate for sponsorship? Yes, that’s tax evasion, and yes you need to pay taxes on your income like everyone else.
  8. You make it sound like you want to obtain residency there in order to file for DCF, rather than already living there and needing to move back for a legitimate, documented job offer. You’re free to ask the consulate of course, but I think your chances are low.
  9. No, it will actually be the receipt notice after your packet is accepted for processing.
  10. LOL. Dude, there is NO way she will get a new GC before traveling. Have you looked at the processing times? Up to FOUR YEARS. what she will get is a 46- month extension letter, which she can use for travel along with the expired GC. It really is not advisable to use an address other than where you live. USCIS has been known to make unexpected home visits, to verify relationships. I would guess you’d want them to show up where you live together, since that relationship is the entire basis for removing conditions.
  11. To be fair, the option OP chose was the second of two offered.
  12. What a huge mess. This won’t be simple, cheap or fast to fix. May take years. I think you need to re-do the divorce that was done in Mexico. I agree that the USCIS/DOS will not recognize it as legal, as neither of you resides in the jurisdiction of the court that granted it. I have seen this many times before. Then you’ll need to remarry current partner and petition for a spousal visa. Unfortunately, it’s irrelevant of whether the UK recognized that divorce, as US law counts for US immigration.
  13. The answer is no. He doesn’t qualify as follow-to-join and will need to be petitioned by her if he wants to immigrate someday.
  14. You’re asking strangers on the internet to help you fabricate something? SMH…..
  15. If you’re not living there with a U.S.-based job offer, you don’t qualify. It’s not a work-around for long wait times.
  16. OP, you cannot use a B2 to "live" in the US 6 months on/6 months off. The only avenue she has to be able to come and go as she wishes is US citizenship.
  17. He has three women and not two bits to his name. I guess the stereotype of women wanting guys with money is a myth 😅.
  18. Just the bio page as evidence of citizenship is fine….
  19. No. Due to widespread fraud and international law, adoption related to US immigration is much more complex than just adding a child to a visa application.
  20. Not sure how you arrived at that conclusion from my answer, lol. Do you have/are you eligible for a US passport? Does the country you're traveling to require a visa? Vagueness doesn't yield meaningful answers here on VJ.
  21. The form # is 129F. Single sided is okay. N/A is fine.
  22. This website is about US immigration, so it’s probably not a great resource for you. But as with other countries, it probably totally depends on the nature of the crime, and whether it involved children. American immigration lawyers also may not know.
