  1. You won’t get a waiver for that. The US is VERY strict about TB. Extra wait time is probably related to the fact that TB can be latent/dormant. Unfortunately, rules are rules, and you won’t be able to circumvent them.
  2. He will likely be denied for an F-1 for immigrant intent. You should petition him. It will take many years.
  3. SalishSea

    Denial

If you want to come to the US to live, you need to be petitioned for an immigrant visa.
  4. SalishSea

    Denial

    You can always try.
  5. Honestly, I can’t see why you didn’t just get married, since that ceremony probably amounts to a wedding in the eyes of the consulate.
  6. The USC should join and begin reading here. He/she will be the one to file the petition for a spousal visa. You should both read the guides for the CR-1.
  7. LPRs are expected to file/pay if applicable as well.
  8. You should renew it. What if she needs to travel? There is know guarantee that she will even be approved for naturalization. Everyone should have a valid passport.
  9. Tax documents? Are you mistaking this process for sponsoring an immigrant visa?
  10. Affidavits are NOT required. We didn’t submit any. I recommend focusing on better quality evidence (bank statements, joint bills, jointly owned assets, jointly filed taxes, insurance, wills/POA etc). Ours went through Nebraska and took 18 months. No interview.
  11. There is nothing for you to do. He applies and has an interview. That’s it.
  12. Illegally? The OP in no way indicated that anyone was trying to enter illegally.
  13. Did you get a 48 month one? They keep increasing the extension durations, lol. Yes, they will send another one if it gets close to the expiration and still no 10 year card. When did you file?
  14. All you can do is wait. Ours took 18 months, Nebraska Service Center.
  15. Evidence used by people who went through low/no-fraud consulates is irrelevant in your case. Pakistan has lots of issues, so you will need to front load any petition for that, whether it is for a K-1 or CR-1. We definitely see way more denials for Pakistan K-1s than CR-1s, so I agree that it is an odd choice. Processing times are meaningless if you first get a denial and have to start over with a new petition.
  16. I think you were in my 2018 K-1 group here on VJ. Have you not removed conditions yet?
  17. Just go for it and report back. In all my years of reading VJ, I've never come across anyone trying to use a C visa to be able to stay in the US as a tourist for a few days. There is no point in getting frustrated at members just trying to help when you are requesting info on something that just isn't really done.
  18. Why would that even be an issue? Women travel independently all over the world, every day.
  19. There are no interviews for I-130. There is no way to know whether you’ll be called for an interview for the AOS.
  20. You're quick to point out that you don't like VJ member responses and that we treat people like morons, but honestly......the fact that this was unclear is astonishing. I don't think Lemonslice was being sarcastic. It is a legitimate question.
  21. Having an arranged marriage does not change the burden of proof for the bonafides .
  22. That phrase as an update seems to be meaningless in terms of timelines, from what I’ve observed.
  23. Dude, it's been 5 months. Processing time for that FO is 7.5 months. Relax.
