  1. When was the petition filed? Sibling visas take 25 years or so.
  2. Please do some reading. This is a DIY site. You need to own your process and read the guides. If you still do not understand, look into hiring help, as suggested.
  3. I don’t see an expedite being approved, as obviously the treatment is available here in the U.S. I agree with the Cat, have the biopsies done asap. I’m confused about what you wrote about doing the biopsies vs surgery. In general, that would be a discussion to have with the surgeon or oncologist- not something you decide on your own, based on cost. There are rationales (medically and surgically) for biopsying tissue prior to resecting an entire organ or body part.
  4. They are already dual citizens and eligible for British passports. My kids are dual British/US citizens (born in the US) because their dad was born in the UK.
  5. I have never heard of a conditional green card being extended without an ROC in process. Is this new?
  6. Yes, the huge age difference is the reason they do not believe it is a bonafide marriage. Perhaps your spouse can move to Nigeria to live with you there.
  7. Yes, they've shut down ALL international USCIS offices. Hence the need to get permission ("exceptional circumstances), and a written job offer is a common qualifying reason. You could look into the Utah online marriage as an option, since you're currently together. I don't have enough Philippines-specific knowledge to comment on the practicality of this, but someone who does should be along shortly.
  8. Most around here would strongly recommend the CR-1 over the K-1, for many reasons. @Crazy Cat has a great comparison list. I don't think your age difference will be an issue at all, and since same-sex marriage is (still) legal in all 50 states, there is absolutely no issue there either. So will you return to the US after starting your job? As in next month? By the time your partner gets an interview, you will have been working for awhile, with ample payslips to show current income. DCF (direct consular processing) may also be an option since you have a job offer. You would need to get married asap, and then get permission from the consulate to do that process. I don't recall seeing many doing DCF through Manila, perhaps @pushbrk has insights.
  9. It is extremely unusual for a USC petitioner to be called for biometrics. Any red flags in your past?
  10. What do you mean “the I-130 is for the baby”?
  11. Adopting to circumvent immigration laws screams of fraud to me….
  12. It's based on the totality of circumstances. If you're marginal, trying to time a petition submission around the federal poverty guidelines does not make sense. You're better off seeking a well qualified joint sponsor, or trying to improve your income.
  13. How is he able to take 6 months off? The consulate will wonder about this. You may want to temper your hopes, as he could well be rejected for a B visa.
  14. The fees changed on April 1st. If you don't send the correct fee, it will be rejected and returned.
  15. Or better yet, let the courts decide. It is not reasonable or legal for a custodial parent to withhold court mandated visitation time for that reason.
  16. There is no visa available to your brother that will take less than the timeframe you've been quoted. Nothing in US immigration is quick. If it truly is urgent, you may want to look into sending her home so that she can be looked after in her own country.
  17. What do you mean? The fees are the fees, you can't do some fancy filing trick to avoid them.
  18. Very much doubt it. Waivers for the K-1 meeting requirement are HARDLY EVER granted. You will need to find a way to meet in person if you want to petition someone.
  19. You can’t overcome reasons for denial by refiling. Do you really think there is no record-keeping in USCIS/department of state??? You may want to plan to move to his country if you want to live together.
  20. I don’t think you understand what notaries actually do. They do not certify the authenticity of documents, only the issuing jurisdiction can do that via “certified copy.”
