  1. Why did she need a second interview?
  2. Your feelings about the application of the law won't be considered in this case. And USCIS/DOS has access to all records, even expunged ones. You may be best off getting a lawyer to help with your case.
  3. They are not there to help with the process. The expectation is that you hire help, or do the reading and researching yourself. All of the forms have clear instructions and the fees are clearly printed.
  4. OP, historical processing times have varied widely. Our AOS in 2018/19 (straightforward also) took like 13 months with an interview. ROC took 18 months, no interview. There were people here on VJ with timelines similar to ours who had much shorter and much longer wait times. There is not always rhyme or reason, and the local field office greatly impacts it. Like others are saying, start reading and following the threads here on VJ that align with your timeline. The more you read and research, the more likely you are to be successful with US immigration.
  5. OP, be aware that the plan is to eliminate this visa category. Who knows if it will happen, but it's a strong possibility.
  6. No. As it will likely be close to 25-30 years before he can immigrate, all his info will be updated then. Kids most likely will age out.
  7. Pictures of family members meeting in person will not satisfy that requirement. It’s not evidence that you met.
  8. Thanks for the update. Definitely attend, and you may find when you get there that it was scheduled in error.
  9. Thanks for commenting! The USCIS processing times for N-400 at Seattle now say 6 months for 80% of applications. Having waited 18 months for I-751 and 13 months or so for AOS from K-1, we’d be thrilled with that! When I first joined VJ in 2016, Seattle processing times were up to 2-3 years, so there’s been progress!
  10. Husband filed his N-400 online on 11/29/24 under the 5 year rule. Our LFO is Seattle, which has historically been a backlogged office for citizenship interviews. Hopefully things have sped up! Good luck, everyone.
  11. You cannot use the house you live in to sponsor an immigrant.
  12. The word you are looking for is 'naturalized.'
  13. What was the reason he was placed under AP for the immigrant visa? This sounds like there’s more to it than the application not being revoked.
  14. Hey, I think this is the month the kiwi files as well! His 90 day window (5 year rule) opened up last week sometime…..
  15. That’s NOT how that works! There is. Nothing a “visa agent” can do to influence a US consular decision.
  16. So you’ve not met her in person?
  17. So they just came on B visas or something, and now want to stay?
  18. Would make NO sense to repeat the J with the residency requirement. You’ll just be in the same boat again.
  19. No, you cannot. That is 100% fraud. You need to petition him for an immigrant visa. Read the guides.
  20. Be aware that if you stay, you might not be able to work or return (if you leave) for up to 8 months. This includes remote work.
  21. And yet your history says otherwise. I can't see you getting a visa to the US given your track record.
  22. It is true, there is now a special marriage visa for the UK. Did not used to be the case.
