Yes, that is the length of time it takes to adjudicate/approve your petition.
Once approved, it will be sent from the California Service Center (CSC) to the NVC (National Visa Center), where it will wait until requested by the London consulate. That part of the process generally takes another couple of months, depending on how backed up London is. They will notify you (or the beneficiary) of next steps in terms of scheduling medical, obtaining police reports and scheduling interview. That part is consulate-specific and subject to change, but in general that is the course of events.
There is not a lot you can be doing at this point, besides getting your available IRS transcripts (i.e for 2020, 2021, and eventually for 2022).
