  1. Excellent news!! So @Mike E's theory about Seattle is not the case!
  2. K3s are no longer a thing. After you successfully petition your spouse, she will apply for a CR-1 visa at the local US consulate.
  3. There are people everywhere with whom you would and would not "click." It is certainly easier and cheaper to date someone local.
  4. Then AP should be expected. The United States does not have diplomatic relations with Iran, and that greatly complicates the vetting process.
  5. No. It means they don’t yet have enough info on which to base a decision. This happens for a myriad of reasons, and can last from hours to years. Applicants generally have some idea of why their case is in AP.
  6. This sounds mysteriously like another very recent thread….. Do you already have a potential spouse lined up to petition?
  7. Great point. Those from his country and similarly high-fraud, high-risk countries would do well to take note. His actions absolutely impact future immigrants.
  8. If she’s coming here to suddenly change plans and adjust status, just petition her properly.
  9. It is not legal for someone to arrive to the US with the intent of adjusting status, so if that is what you’re seeing, those people are committing immigration fraud. You are early into this process, and reading and learning as much as possible about US immigration will help you avoid pitfalls.
  10. Good point: anyone who’s been through a divorce, even an amicable one, knows that they are expensive. It can take years to recoup the losses.
  11. Not exactly. An individual filling out any form has the right to self-determine race/ethnicity. The government collects the data, and that's it.
  12. All of us who did a K-1 had a period of time where we were the sole breadwinner of the household. You get through it together. Perhaps instead of focusing on finding a new wife, you should look to bettering your financial situation via education or increased skills. Or live within your means.
  13. Not a good reason to already be already seeking out and planning to petition a new wife. Loving spouses try to help each other during times of turmoil or stress.
  14. You can absolutely leave it blank, or you can check the one that feels the most like you. Unfortunately, modern American forms do not reflect the ethnicity (or races) of those who live here accurately.
  15. Wow. Sounds like you have already got someone new lined up. I suspect that your wife WILL think you used her for a green card which led to citizenship, and I also suspect she'd be correct. Imma do a Mike E here, ciao.
  16. LOL that wouldn't fit ours, which is 229000. RD 12/08/2021. Must be encrypted like OldUser said.
  17. So your first four and last five are both 23xx(x)? What is your receipt date? And what happens when you type in the 23xxx range?
  18. Strange, because we filed before you. Receipt date is 12/8/2021, and we got our biometrics reuse notice on 12/29/2021.
