  1. Thanks for clarify that. My original question was aimed more at exceptions to that rule since I've been waiting a while and also hearing about the new Visa Processing Center opening I thought I could schedule something. Maybe the new Visa Processing center will allow the NVC to give me an appointment date soon though?
  2. Hi all, My wife's IR-1 Visa is already DQ at the NVC since June 7, 2024, but still no interview appointment has been scheduled by the NVC. I heard about the new Visa Processing center in the Philippines to be opened on Sept 28 and I was wondering if I am allowed to try and schedule an interview since the NVC hasn't yet? I saw on the website that if the NVC hasn't informed me I can schedule an interview then I am not supposed to schedule an interview on the USTRAVELDOCS website. I am just confirming did I understand that right? Thanks all!
  3. Hi all, I just had a quick question about income requirements for the Affidavit of Support. Currently I'm waiting for my wife's interview in the Philippines and I wanted to take a day or 2 off work. I don't get paid time off so it would be an income loss. A few months from now if she has the interview will this be a problem when showing updated paystubs? From what I understand you only have to show the last few right? Thank you!
  4. Hi there, when did NVC approve your documents? If you don't mind me asking. Thanks.
  5. Oh good to hear, I do still have those stamps. Also yes I did declare my address history on the initial petition and put that I lived in the Philippines. Thank you very much for the answer.
  6. Thank you so much. May I ask some examples of solid evidence of living together in the Philippines?
  7. Hey everyone, I'm now waiting for the NVC to schedule my wife's IR-1 interview, but I had a question about our relationship. My wife and I were married in 2017 and I lived with her in the Philippines for about 2 years. We also had a daughter in 2018. Also I was able to get the CRBA for my daughter in 2019. When I returned to the US in 2018 I filed the petition for her, but I haven't been able to visit her since then. This is due to financial troubles and life issues unfortunately. We would video call/chat everyday and I would send her ongoing support during this time. I won't have any recent pictures to show of us together or proof of visitation. I could show proof of support and chat logs if needed. I never filed Taxes jointly with her because she didn't have income. I am unsure what else could possibly be required for the Interview. My Question would be: Will this be a problem at the interview and what could I do to fulfill the requirements now while waiting, if anything? Thank you!
  8. Hi all, it's good news I just got Documentarily Qualified from NVC for my wife's IR-1 case in the Philippines, but there is a Case FE note on the CEAC website that states the following: The income reported as stated on form I-864, I-864A is insufficient to overcome the public charge grounds of inadmissibility for visa issuance. To avoid delays, an additional Affidavit of Support Form I-864 from a joint sponsor may be submitted. I do have enough income on my I-864 which is about 12k above the annual requirements, but my 2023 tax return showed income well below the requirements. Now I know that many have received this message before and it's probably only the tax return that is flagging this message and our current income is what matters but here is my question. Would the NVC have DQ my papers if the stated CURRENT income on my I-864 was below the 125% poverty line requirements? Thank you so much!
  9. Yeah that makes sense to me, I was confused about it. I saw the statement on the regular I-864 on page 1 in the bottom left corner in bold. Thanks.
  10. I will just upload my 2023 tax return instead of a transcript. I saw that it's ok to do that as long as I include my w-2s, etc with it. I filed it electronically, but do I have to print and sign/date it and then scan/upload? Thank you!
  11. Hi all, just doing some finishing touches on the I-864 AoS form and had a few questions. 1). On page 1 Mailing Address for "Street Number and Name" my wife has no street name so would I put "NA" or give a description of her location like on the DS-260? 2). On page 4 it asks for "Current Individual Annual Income." How exactly do I calculate this? Just multiply my weekly gross income by 52 weeks? Just making sure I do it the way they want. 3). For page 7 do I just check box "1.a" and fillout sponsors contact information? 4). Do I need to print the I-864 and sign it by hand and then scan/upload? Thank you so much!
  12. Hey all, I just came across a statement on the Affidavit of Support I-864 form that says I need proof of US Citizenship to submit it. I didn't misunderstand it right? I'm assuming i can just upload my birth certificate along with it on the CEAC website. Thank you!
  13. Thank you. Yes good advice, I will ensure that she has the reason if the consular officer asks.
  14. Hi all, I filed the petition in 2019 for my wife's IR-1 and ran into some problems so I had to wait a few years before things came together for me to finish it. So for about 5 years it's been at the NVC stage until now. I am almost ready to submit everything, just a few final documents to upload. Anyways I'm just wanting to know if the delay in completing the paperwork will cause any unforeseen problems going forward? Thank you so much!
  15. Yup, I have everything you said. The divorce decree was actually used during my daughter's CRBA a few years ago. Thank you for the help.
  16. Hi all, just doing a final review of all the Civil Documents I uploaded on the CEAC website for my wife's IR-1 case at the NVC stage for the Philippines. I just want to double check that I'm not missing anything before I submit it. So far I have: 1). Passport Biographic Page 2). Visa Photographs (2) 3). Birth Certificate 4). Marriage Certificate 5). Police Certificate (NBI) 6). Petitioner's Marriage Termination Documentation (Final Legal Divorce Decree) Anything I'm missing before I finish it? Next I start on Financial Documents. Thank you so much!
  17. Hi all, I'm a bit confused about the "photographs" upload requirement on CEAC for Civil Documents requirements. It doesn't list the requirement here specifically https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/step-5-collect-financial-evidence-and-other-supporting-documents/step-7-collect-civil-documents.html. Also on the confirmation page for the DS-260 it mentions the requirement for submitting photos, but only once a Visa Interview Appointment has been set. My confusion lies in do I upload Visa Photos now and is that what they are asking for on the CEAC upload? Here is the link the CEAC website gives me for the photos requirements: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/photos.html Thank you all so much!
