Yes you can call it chess. Which is precisely the reason I created this post. I need a simpler way of getting it done amongst other things. Yes, she is in a big household and someone will be able to take care of her. The person is MIL and she adopted from an orphanage. However, at the end of the day, she wants the child to come live with her in the USA.

There is no creative exercise. I spent hours trying to figure out the best solution. It is only sensible too seek advice and opinion of those who have more experience and knowledge than I have. I really don't know how best to proceed other than dumping money that I don't have on a lawyer. I believe this is exactly what the purpose of this website is. To those of you who think there is something fishy going on. The scenarios I have presented are 90% hypothetical. I am trying to get people to bounce off my ideas and tell me right from wrong and give me their invaluable advice. At the end of the day. No matter what I learn or whatever conclusions I reach. I am going to give this another try. Any advice, opinion or alternative ideas are welcome Goal: To immigrate infant from Pakistan to the USA. So far, this is what I have figured out. I will appreciate any feedback or alternatives to my plan I am a US Citizen. My mother’s I-130 has been approved and we are waiting for the NVC processing to start. She recently adopted an infant girl. It has been less than 2 years since her adoption, so until this time period is complete, she will not be able to file a I-I-30 (F2A) for her. By the time the 2 years pass my mother would already have her resident alien card (therefore enabling the F2A) While her daughter’s I-130 is processing, she needs to be In Pakistan to take care of her daughter Resident Aliens cannot leave the USA for more than 6mos. So I plan on filing a I-131. This will allow her to stay in Pakistan for 2 years without affecting her resident alien status. She has to apply from within the United States as as this is one of the conditions of the Note: While the F2A is processing, we can try applying for a US visitor visa for her daughter .Children under 13 do not have to give a visa interview. Not needing to give an interview will save one year of processing of the visitor visa

She currently has guardianship. However, she is willing to adopt her She is in Pakistan and will be adopting the baby in the same country

I do have a follow up question. Let's assume MIL has arrived in the USA and has received her green card. Now, does she have to wait a certain period of time before applying for her adopted daughter? Or can she petition for the baby right away?

The green card application for my mother in law is now with the NVC. We just need to pay the fee for the NVC. However, recently she took guardianship of a baby girl. The baby belongs to a relative who can not take care of her due to hardship. My mother in law is in a dilemmu. She wants to come to the USA but under no circumstances does she want to leave the baby behind. There is no one to take guardianship from her. She wants to bring the baby with her to the USA. Is that possible in any way? I am the one who sponsored her I - 130 and am desperate to figure out if there is way for her to bring the child along? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

My wife will be going to the Islamabad Embassy for the CRBA interview next week. A friend of hers suggested to provide Affidavits from friends and family supporting I am the father. I have already submitted pre natal records in support of my being the biological father of the child. Will an Affidavit do anything to help prove my being the biological father. Ot is this just a waste of time and effort?

Know your 100 questions. Respond to each interview question in a confident and friendly tone. Trust me, I have helped about 5 close relatives immigrate from Pakistan just a few months after 9/11. I wasn't sure where ro pist this question. I am working with ACS - Islamabad Embassy. They are requesting 5 years of proof of residence. I have had Xfinity for 7 years. So I want to know if I can use it to prove residency. I intend to submit 5 years of Xfinity bikks along with 5 years of electric bills. Any input on this will be greatly appreciated

I applied for a CRBA last week. I got a reply from the Embassy that I need to provide proof of paternity. They said that providing medical proof would be one way to prove that. I do not want to do a DNA test as it will take too long . The Embassy has been dragging it's feet in processing everything. They claim to be shorthanded My question is, other than a DNA test, is there any other kind of medical proof the I am the father of the child? I know about submitting the birth certificate, witness statements, correspondence showing me referring to my daughter. Any ideas or any kind of information in regards to providing proof of Paternity will be greatly appreciated.

Both my wife and I are US Citizens. I am currently in the US and my wife is attending her sick father in Islamabad. If we end up filing a CRBA. 1. Will I be required to attend the interview. Or just my wife will be sufficient 2. I plan on providing 5 years of taxes with W2's. Letters from employers verifying employment and finally 5 years of bank statements showing that all transactions were US based. Do you think I will be OK with these documents? I will appreciate your assistance

Thank you for taking the time to respond to my question. Perhaps I should have been more specific I understand that W-2 prove residency. It made me assume that income taxes would be needed I am also going to attach Employment Verification Letters pertaining to the W-2's What do you think?

I am thinking of 2 things right now. 1. How many years of income tax returns or bank statements do I need to provide. (i. e to prove residence in the USA) 2. Does the embassy require any medical documentation of the pregnancy. For example doctor visit notes, ultrasound reports etc. Any asistance in this regard will be highly appreciated.
