You should be ok, because I always write 1, even though he has been married before and am the second one.

i think 🤔 we are right, because I wrote 1 in i751 and I went for interview and it wasn’t a problem so I think we are fine.

And the name I don’t think it a big deal, they will understand

And i just now realized that online application does not give us options to input numbers. It just asks us if your spouse has been married before ? And i said 'Yes' and gave previous spouse details and then when we check the application snap shot after submitting it shows the number of times current spouse married as '1'.  Looks like the app does this. So i think its not a mistake from our end.

Thank you!. I appreciate your response. I will explain it to the I.O at the interview. Btw the maiden name part is fine. I went and checked my earlier petitions with Uscis and i have my maiden name given with two last names, so that was correctly written.

Only error seems to be the second one i mentioned.

  3. So today i noticed that i have made two mistakes on N400.

One under 'other names' (previous names used) i wrote my maiden name with two last names , instead of mentioning one as middle name and one as last name.

And the other mistake was , I misunderstood the question under part 10 , section 8 " How many times your current spouse has been married", I misunderstood that the question to be how many times he was married 'before' , so i wrote 1. Although right under that question i gave correct information on my husband's previous spouse and their divorce information and attached the divorce decree since the online application asked for it. So the mistake was instead of writing 2 marriages for him ( All marriages including ours), i wrote 1( assuming they wanted to know how many times he has been married 'before) . But i have given information about his previous marriage and divorce in the application so the mistake is only in the numbers section.

So i attached a letter today explaining my mistakes and that i wanted to amend the two mistakes , i uploaded the PDF letter under other documents online.

I am going to explain this to the IO in the beginning of the interview.

I should be ok right? what do you think?

    Here is my experience:

I attented my interview today at the Atlanta Field office based on 5 year rule.

Overall- very pleasant experience. I have waited about 30-45 minutes to be called.

Officer was pleasant and asked questions professionally.

I was recommended for approval and he advised that Oath Ceremony will be scheduled and mailed.

As of today still in line for Oath Ceremony.

    Civic Questions was:

Who is the Commander in Chief of the Military?

What is the name of the President?

What stops one branch of government from becoming too powerful?

    How many Senators are there?

What do we call the first ten amendments to the Constitution?

What does the President’s Cabinet do?

Reading test was: What state has the most people:

Writing: California has the most people.

He went through N400 quickly and verified some questions and proceeded with approval.

Any questions about job? , as i see some people were asked about the employment letter etc?

  5. Is there a thread that exclusively discusses N400 interview process and questions and experiences shared by the applicants here? If so please provide me the link. It would be very useful to learn about the actual interview experiences from people who have applied N400 and have gone through the process.

I just got my Biometrics done and i have no clue about how the N400 interview process will be. I know about civics and english test, I want to know if they will ask personal questions? I am applying under 5 year rule and I got my green card through my marriage to my USC husband. Let me know what kind of personal questions should I be prepared to face in the interview ( relationship to my spouse , job etc?) since i am applying under 5 year rule and also my green card was based on marriage. Thank you! Also please feel free to move this post to its appropriate place if this is not where it needs to be. Thanks again!

    Awesome!

I also received my biometric appointment notification online, and I submitted my application yesterday. Like you the letter hasn't shown up yet but I'm sure it will soon.

So, I had doubts that all my files made it this time - and now that I can see the tabs, all I can see is the additional evidence files.

Question to you all: do you see ALL your files under documents (Your uploads)?

I have to call about this unless it is normal for the required evidence not to show.

    It says:

    Unsolicited information

You may upload documents that we did not request from you. If you upload additional evidence, USCIS is not required to review or accept these documents when making a decision about your case.

but the required evidence is obviously not that. Any ideas on this?

Just under documents it shows all of my uploaded documents. It does not have any cateogry tab for required or additional evidence after submitting. Those categories were there before submitting. After submitting all the documents submitted show up under documents and you can still upload other documents. I have uploaded 3 more after submission. Once my 2019 tax transcript becomes available i will upload that as well.

Btw while uploading other documents ( after submitting the app)  you can still choose the category from drop down menu option which show up as ID documents, criminal history documents, etcetc

Received my biometric appointment notification. That took less than a week. I’m impressed. Letter hasn’t shown up under my documents tab so I can’t see when it is. Still though, pretty fast.

Same here. Exactly a week after today i received Biometrics appointment notification. Biometric apponitment Letter has not shown up under documents tab yet.

My usps informed delivery shows a letter in the mail from Uscis , perhaps the receipt letter that is alreardy under documents tab? Will wait and see.

I don't know where I could see that? I cannot find any 'documents' tab or sign. I do see I have filed:

    You successfully submitted your form

We are processing your form. It can take up to 48 hours for all of your case information to show on your home page.

We will notify you when we take an action on your case. You can edit your email and text message notification preferences in your profile.
Current as of today at 7:37 pm

When you login to Uscis and check your account it should show your application filed and it will have case history, documents tabs. Something like this. May be it takes 24 to 48 hours to show that?

    Hi everyone, I filed today!!

I uploaded everything again (for the third time) and finished the application.

Hope all is good; when I came to the last page I couldn't see the initial evidence I had uploaded, only the file names of the additional evidence. I didn't want to go back to see if it was still there as all uploaded files disappeared twice, so now I will just have to wait.

Does anyone know how long it takes before you can see your case online and if - in case some files disappeared again - you can upload more files?

I could see immediately after submitting. Under documents you check what has been uploaded. If not you can still upload. There is an option to upload.

Hello everyone, I received my 10 year Green Card last month and for the last 3 days I have been working on the online N400 application. It says the site will save all information for 30 days so I thought to have a bit of time to finish it all.

However, just 3 days after I started, somehow all my evidence was gone. I had uploaded stuff all day, had to reduce file size on many files as it just took forever to upload something over 1 MB. The smaller files worked well. I was working on the additional evidence and signed out. Signed back in half an hour later and all my files were GONE!! I called the technical support. They had no idea and couldn't put me through with someone who knows more. I am livid! So much work, gone... and I had signed out and back in several times over the past few days, and could always continue where I left off.

Has anyone else experienced this problem?

I am thinking about sending in a paper application but that's also a lot of additional work. 😱

This happened to me. I realised that just before submitting application if i upload documents then it works. The uploaded documents don't stay if you close the application or even go to the previous pages while working on the application. Online app only saves data for 30 days , does not seem to save uploaded files. I made a folder in my computer and put in all the documents in either PDF or JPG format and on the day i was going to submit my app i reviewed all the data info and then uploaded my documents ( and after uploading i made sure i don't click on any previous page options) and submitted my application. That worked out well. Now after submitting i can login and check my uploaded document just fine and the advantage of online application is i can continue to upload documents even after submitting application. Its kind of interactive. After submitting the application with some documents, even after they received my application, i could upload two more documents.

Hi Everyone, I have updated the Google Sheets File borrowing some stuff from the Jan filer's file and also adding in some other things such as drop downs and some conditional formatting.  Please be careful when you update the file.  I also left the old sheet in the file so that people can see that the data was not altered.

Thanks it looks neat now. We all just have to add our information carefully, looks like someone accidently had removed some of our information. But this new format looks good. I just re-added my information yesterday.

02/14/2020 - Finally I just finished applying online.

I applied under 5 year rule and uploaded the following documents.

green card one PDF showing both front and back

    Marriage certificate PDF

    Name change affidavit PDF

My spouses previous marriage divorce decree PDF

My note saying i don't have the birth certificate of my step daughter

and my US citizen husband (her father) pays child support , she had visitations but lives with her biological mother.

i answered yes to questions 23 to 25 since i received my first ever traffic ticket and had an attorney amend the charge and pay the fine.

    So i uploaded

    Copy of Traffic Ticket CItation

Copy of Court efile notification of Disposition

    Copy of Payment receipt.

Copy of my attorney letter saying that all fines have been paid.

Before going to the interview i may get the certified copy of court disposition.

And lastly i uploaded 3 year tax transcripts that i downloaded from IRS website ( even though i am applying under 5 year rule)

I may take 5 year tax transcripts with me to the interview.

I guess i have covered everything. Seems like 5 year rule is a simple process of naturalization.

Am i missing anything. But i trust i am not missing anything since i just finished paying for the fee online and submitted my application. 😜

Ok just now logged back and checked. Now the estimated case complition time shows as 4 months. June 2020.

And underneath is Estimated wait time is 7 days ( perhaps for NOA).

    Lets see.
