  1. You seem like a nice person, but you need to call the FBI ASAP!!! This post honestly scares me, as well as many other members on this group. YOU NEED TO TALK TO THE FEDS ASAP!!! (Hopefully the govt does monitor these boards and already is looking)

As for the beginning, yes, there were many red flags! My husband currently lives in DK, which has a smaller time gap (not by much) and we struggle to be able to find one hour a day to call each other, not to mention 5-10 hours a day on skype! At that point it looks like, his full time job was to get you to get him into the country. Leave him, call the cops, get him out of the country, and find a good man who loves you for you and does not even think about harming you!

  2. So maybe one of the lucky people having reached NOA2 already could share with us what it's going to say in there? Just curious :)

And was it sent as a paper notice to the petitioner like the NOA1?

I got my hardcopy yesterday, it looks a bit more official than the NOA1 (On greenish paper instead of white) but really nothing much. It tells you how to contact the NVC and that they still can wave the right to deny you at any time. But it is nice to have it in hand!

  3. My Husband and I would totally have done something like this, but going through CR1 makes us not valid.... but at the same time, yea, its a LOT of lack of privacy. And I feel like they always cast 1 or 2 couples as "Obvious" marriage scams (If it is true or not, I do not know...but this season the Moroccan guy and the russian bride). Where I wish they knew how much pressure and drama it really is to hold and have a relationship in another country, and deal with a new culture.

    But to each his own!

  4. So I am looking up the prices for my husband to get his health exam, and from what I am seeing on the website, it looks like the exam will cost close to 700usd (not including transportation to and from CPH, as well as xRays, and vaccination fees)! Is this normal for the prices? It just seems very high for a person who has never had to pay for medical care in his life! Heck! My hysterectomy was cheaper than that!

  5. You can get ryebread different places and there are many scandinavian online store where he can get danish food.

    Also Ikea has Ryebread mixes.

He likes the "Fitness Bread" sold out in Seattle stores (usually by the organic bread), but does not like the Rye Ikea stuff. (Danes and swede rivalry? I dunno) But so far none of the American import stores have the right candy for me. :(

  6. Booked my flight last night so I'll be flying next week on Tuesday! Plane takes off at 9.35 am and I'll be landing in Seattle at 13.55 :)

And congrats to you as well!

Just some advice, in Seattle there is a REALLY awesome Swedish Ex-Pats club that hosts weekly dinners and movie nights, you should totally take your SO out to the Swedish club once you settle!

  7. Hi I am the USC, married to a dane. Just wanted to pop in and introduce myself! We met at a polish castle LARP and now stuck with each other for life! The only thing I am not looking forward to, is when he moves over here I have lost my connection to Sockerbitar!

He said he will miss rye (though you can find it here called "Fitness Bread")
