When you care more about your green card than fixing your marriage, you need to cancel the application and move on with your life. You are committing immigration fraud if you are not going to the US with the mindset that this is your wife. But I really doubt that she will apply for an AOS, if this is the state you are currently in.
-
I would make sure she is even really willing to go through the visa process, and potentially leave her husband and new family behind. Even if she moves to the US, she would be forced to do a long distance marriage for a prolonged time (over a year minimum) to petition her husband to get to America as well.

If I am not mistaken, I think in the NVC Application form there was a page about entering the tattoos you have. But it would seem strange to deny you a visa for that. I know someone who has a pot leaf tattoo and still got a visa, I really doubt that is a reason for dismissal. My husband has tattoos too, it's pretty common for those under 40.

i kept calling too then finally went through and then was on hold for like 45 minutes then got rep and talk to her for like 3 minutes and request to speak with sup so now waiting for sup call
Yea I got through after 45 mins as well... basically no information, and just the same freaking line "Its in the correct dept now" over and over.... I am beyond frustrated. Even asking for an ETA, and why they keep missing the deadlines, they refuse to answer. It still has a 2 week ETA online...
"Once received, it will take the NVC 2 to 4 weeks to review your case. If any additional information is required after the review, the NVC will notify the applicant (or the applicant’s agent)."

Looks like the phone lines are already clogged up today
BLeHHHH
Sometimes I feel like I have spent more time on hold than they have spent looking at my application.

I saw the same thing after reading your post and bit confused as well?
Scan date: Dec.20
Supervisor review: feb.1st
I am in the same boat?! I am hoping it is just coming back to life and not an RFE or something that is wrong with my application.

It all depends on what you two can agree you can live with. If you can get over her being unfaithful, and she can get over the affairs, then you can try to work it out. If you can not, you can start the procedures to leave. Relationship advice is never black and white, and we are not in your relationship to give you an insight into this. This is your relationship. It is whatever you both can agree on.

My congress woman's aide just emailed me back saying the NVC told him that it is an 8-week turnaround process... Too bad I am on week nine now!
I am livid to say the least. No information, no actual turn around times, and no clear reasons why they can not accommodate their workload is just unreasonable.

You can amend your taxes if you have already submitted, but it looks like this has not passed, nor has it actually changed any laws of having insurance. Most likely, if it does pass that you no longer need insurance, it will go into effect for 2017, since Trump was not president and the Republicans were not in power until Jan 20th, 2017.

Please remember that these boards are for people of all different backgrounds, cultures, and countries with the common goal of getting to be with their loved ones. If we could keep politics off of this board, it would be appreciated. It is a scary time for most of us on here, because we do not know what news sources to trust, or what is real or fear mongering. We need to stick together, and just share our own experiences, as this is all we have right now.

Week 9 now, I have contacted my Congress woman, and given her my Information Release today too.. hopefully they will be able to help or at least give me information!

I can not give any visa advice, as I think it really is a, "all you can do is wait". But remember the visa interview is at an American embassy, where it is legal to be homosexual! You will be safe there! Best of luck, and I hope you can be with your loved one and partner ASAP! I am so sorry about your family, and I am so sorry you have to hide who you are. I can only hope that once you get here, you have the ability to finally be yourself and love yourself as much as your fiance loves you!

I called them late last night for me, and they stated it was sent to "Supervisor Review" on the 26th of Jan... BLEEHHHH
-
I called about 4 days before my 6-week mark, and was told "You will get an answer by Friday". I called that Friday, and was told "They are reviewing it, but we put a note saying they are over the allotted time". Now I am on week 7 or 8, and looks like no information or estimate is in sight!
I am glad I am not the only one in this boat, but I am also sad that we are all dealing with this! Trying to stay out of the political aspect of this situation, but cheese and rice, the amount of hoops we all must jump through is just insane!

I have honestly not seen any further information on adding countries to the ban beyond the Hammond Law Group, who did not cite any sources beyond their own website. I would honestly take it with a grain of salt and chalk it up to fear mongering, since they are a for-profit immigration lawyer company.
Proceed with your lives as normal, do not live in fear, and enjoy your time spent with your loved ones. Continue with filing, and take a deep breath!
Also, past 6 weeks at NVC, and all they said were "Wrote notes on your account saying you are over the 6 week line..." I am assuming they are probably backed up with these current issues, so I am trying not to pester.

To update, today marks 6 weeks at the NVC from the AOS being recieved, still nothing heard from them. I called them monday and they stated I would hear from them today.... BLEHH

I don't know if you are aware, but you aren't going to be able to get health insurance for sometime, you won't be able drive for a period of time depending on the state, not to mention it might be difficult to purchase a car for you right away and especially in that first 90 days.
America can get very expensive and very fast if you don't have a support system, come on a K1, and are living off savings for a while. It is a common enough issue that those with a working fiancé have difficulties, that with one who is not working and no family to live with, I worry.
In addition to those issues, I know a lot of the visa holding Fiances have minor psychological issues based on the strict rules and cut back finances. They tend to suffer from extream boredom, depression, and seclusion. When you have no money, can not drive in a suburban town, and no friends in a country that is a different culture from your own, you really do set yourself up for a state of depression. (I believe it's technically called adjustment disorder) Not to mention if you have minimal funds, you will not be able to afford the counseling for this.
I really would recommend a CR1, you are legally allowed to marry, as long as you go back home while the visa processes.

I think you should be careful in saying that you broke no laws. The visa type you were granted was specific to the reason for entering the US border. If you came to the US for any reason other than simply to visit, it is seen as fraud. I know personally of people who have done this and their cases, while successful, was definitely scrutinized more than usual. Many people do marry on a tourist visa and leave to file CR1, but the truth of the matter is, CR1 is really for spouses who married outside of the US and would like to join their spouse in the US, and K1 visa is for spouses who wish to join their fiances in the US and allowed legal stay until they can get documented residency. Please be careful what you advise on the forum.
Not true, unless you have intent to STAY in America. My husband had school, work, and belongings back in Denmark, and had (and still has) reasons to go back home. Your Visa can not control what you do once you are here, as long as it is not generating some form of income. (As this becomes a tax issue, which is why you need a special visa)
Entering the United States for the purpose of finding a spouse and then filing for a change of status is visa fraud.

Yep what everyone is saying is correct. We got married on a tourist visa because we thought I was going to move to Denmark instead of the opposite. It is only illegal to do this if you have intent to STAY in America. But my husband had a lease, school, and a job to go home to, so there was no issue. (And he did leave America as stated, so if this is brought up in immigration process, we broke no laws)

Coming from the Netherlands will probably help you since it is a "Low Risk" fraud country. (From what I can remember.... most of western europe is) But like most have stated the AOS will be hard and finding a co-sponsor that is willing to possibly financially support you for up to 5 years is going to be difficult.
I would also state, with the K1 and the inability to work for several months might be a struggle for you. (Factor in about 3+ months to get a job once you are able to work, with the job market the way it is, and hiring timelines) I would probably state, if you are serious about this, go to the states, get married, GO HOME. It takes about a year for a CR1 Visa with no issues to be approved. You can be in the Netherlands, and working in this time. Save as much money as you can, and start looking for places you can live, if you have any network in Texas a room to sleep in once you are approved. (You will be interviewed in an embassy in Europe)
Now to be blunt, remember that Texas is not a state that involves Conjugal visits. I know this is not really on your brain right now... but is a marriage you can never consummate something you are looking forward to? Your experiences are not mine, and your life is not mine... so I have no say in what you can and can not live with.... but personally, I love my husband so much I want to be with him physically and mentally every day (Though him being in Denmark makes it VERY hard.... and that feeling will probably die down once we are together). I could personally never live in a world where we are separated by glass but inches apart. I gotta get my rocks off somehow (This does not factor in if you are living a polyamorous lifestyle, or any other alternative open relationship)

I have filed with TurboTax for the past 6 years, but now that I am married, it seems like there are minimal support options with TurboTax while I file "Married but file separately" with my out-of-the-country husband (NRA).
With finances being tight due to back and forth travel to Europe, and visa fees. 50-100 bucks to file without support is not really worth it to me.
What are the best online filing companies that have been known to help walk through Filing separately but still allowing for "NRA" on your paper work.
NOTE: I do contract negotiations and management for a living, so I do not really need a "pretty site" just something that does audit checks supporting NRA.

- Did anyone get a notification when they were at least transferred to the "Supervisors list"? I am creeping up on Week 6 and still have not gotten any information beyond "We got a package from you", after I called them non-stop.

I sent my AOS and supporting documents to the NVC earlier this month, and delivered on 12-12. I have not received any communication from the NVC since then, and calling has resulted with no information.
Will I get any form of information stating that they received my documents? Or is the next communication either an RFE or the Interview date?
Thanks!
(Embassy would be Sweden)

Sorry I took a hiatus to go visit the hubby, but I will update my google doc today.
I want to ask if anyone on the NVC side has sent the paperwork, and if so, how long until the NVC states they are received (Affidavit of support, and the support docs like passports, and marriage certs)

You can also send Tax receipts that you can get off the IRS website, its super easy and does not take that long. Also, I believe a letter from the HR dept, on letterhead and signed stating your employment with salary works too... but if you are being paid under the table, you should really make sure you are paying taxes on this, or you might get slapped with an audit!
If it is direct deposit pay, you do not get "Pay slips" per say, you get a slip that looks like a check, but states it is not valid, or negotiable... but at the bottom has all the tax withdraws and YTD earnings information.
https://www.ncpc.org/resources/enhancement-assets/charts-and-graphs/sampledirectdepositslip.jpg is an example of what that would look like.
