  1. My fiancée decided she did not want to come be with me in my country and has ended the relationship. I suspect she has found another man. Our visa had been approved and sent to the consulate in her country. Should I just contact them to cancel it? Thank you.

No, the visa was not approved. Only a consulate can issue a visa. Your petition was approved and sent to the consulate so your fiancee could apply for a visa. Devil is in the details sometimes so I like to clarify the terms being used. :)

Since the relationship is over and the case is on the way to the consulate, you can do what Minya's wife suggested.

Thank you. You are correct. I did not describe it correctly, and I used the wrong terms. Thank you for clarifying.

  2. No, once the 90 days is up, I do not have to support her.

Just another thank you to all of you for your advice and support!

UPDATE: My fiancee left my apartment last week, and she bought a plane ticket to be with the guy she was chatting with, and I suppose she is still with him now. I tried to convince her to go back to her country, but she refused, so I took her to the airport, and she went to be with that guy. I have not heard from either of them, so I suppose they are still together.

I called USCIS, reported what happened, and they said they couldn't do much. I asked them to withdraw my sponsorship of her, and they said they couldn't. I called ICE (Immigration & Customs Enforcement), and I filed a report. I called the State Dept. and they said to call USCIS.

So anyone have any other suggestions? At this point, I am glad she is gone, and I hope I don't hear from her ever again. I just wish I could withdraw my sponsorship/affidavit of support. Apparently I can't at this point.

You have all been great. THANK YOU!

Do you have to support here even after the 90 days is up???

  4. Thank you all again for your advice.

I called USCIS, and they said she must leave the country within 90 days if we do not get married, which are not going to do. If she doesn't leave the country, the ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) will be looking for her.

I will tell her that I will buy her a plane ticket to wherever she wants to go, but I have a feeling she will simply refuse even to leave my apartment because she will be angry. I won't know what to do if that happens.

  5. Thank you all so much for your advice. I feel nervous about all of this, and I just want it to end.

I don't want her to live with me anymore. Should I first just ask her nicely to leave and go back to her country, and pay for her ticket? What if she refuses to leave my apartment? What if she refused to leave the country, and she wants to go live with this other guy? Am I still responsible for her?

  6. My fiancee lives with me, but we have not gotten married yet, and she has not gotten her social security card yet. Our relationship is not working. We are both unhappy. I found out she is chatting with another guy online, and she tells him that she loves him. I don't want this relationship to continue. How do I begin the process of sending her back to her country? Her visa is still good I think, so could she possibly come back into the country and try to be with this other guy? Does anyone know if I need to get additional paperwork for this? Do I just buy her a plane ticket and off she goes? Basically, if anyone can please help me with this, I would appreciate it. Thank you very much!
