  1. Completely aware. I obtained one from a foreign consulate.
  2. In some cases, marriage and Direct Consular Processing would be a pretty fast route, too.
  3. The OP stated "and we both live together in Brazil,". In Brazil, I know of no problems with a Utah online marriage.
  4. That is no longer a barrier. The Utah online marriage eliminates those hoops.
  5. Not applicable to the current, real world. I wouldn't start implying that K-1 journeys are that short now.
  6. Every couple has their own priorities, and each couple must decide which visa is better for their situation. K-1 More expensive than CR-1 Requires Adjustment of Status after marriage (expensive and requires a lot of paperwork) Spouse can not leave the US until she/he receives approved Advance Parole (approx 3-6 months) Spouse can not work until she/he receives EAD (approx 3-6 months) Some people have had problems with driver licenses, Social Security cards, leases, bank account during this period Spouse will not receive Green Card for many months after Adjustment of Status is filed. A K-1 might be a better choice when 18-21 year old children are immigrating also In some situations, marriage can affect certain Home country benefits, making a K-1 a better choice A denied K-1 is sent back to USCIS to expire K-1 entrant cannot file for citizenship until after having Green Card for 3 years. Once an I-129F has been approved, delaying the case is difficult to impossible if the need arises. CR-1/IR-1 Less expensive than K-1 No Adjustment of Status(I-485, I-131, I-765) required. Spouse can immediately travel outside the US Spouse is authorized to work immediately upon arrival. Spouse receives Social Security Card and Green Card within 2 or 3 weeks after entering the US Opening a bank account, getting a driver's license, etc. are very easily accomplished with GC, SS card, and passport. Spouse has legal permanent Resident status IMMEDIATELY upon entry to US. The clock for citizenship filing starts immediately upon entry to the US. A CR-1/IR-1 case can be delayed indefinitely at NVC if the need arises.
  7. The violations were not your question. The 2 comments I removed violated the following part of our terms of service which states that members will not: Condone or instruct, either directly or indirectly, others on how to commit fraudulent or illegal immigration activities in any way, shape, manner or method. Sorry for any confusion.
  8. One of the biggest mistakes Harris made was choosing Walz.
  9. Rasmussen polls and predictions were spot on.....They predicted Trump would win all 7 swing states.
  10. Joe Biden is laughing his rear end off this morning. He will get the last laugh!!!!!🤣
  11. Morning Joe crew seems a little subdued right now....but they are still making ridiculous accusations.
  12. ****Another comment violating the Terms Of Service Removed. Administrative actions taken against member's account***
  13. This is, by far, the best-produced political ad I have ever seen. Got a kick out of Elon.
  14. That seems more logical to me.
  15. It might be possible. You really need to get in touch with the consulate. Good luck.
  16. It is 100% at the discretion of the consulate. You can ask them. However, your start date is pretty soon. I'm not sure you can make it. Good luck.
  17. ***Moved to the Removing Conditions of Residency forum****
  18. I can tell you that being rid of USCIS is a great feeling. After 40 months of waiting for wife's I-751 to be processed, she filed her N-400 (5 year rule). Four months later, both the I-751 and N-400 were approved after a combo interview. As far as the IRS is concerned, you still have the same obligations now (as long as you are a Green Card holder). Good luck on your decision. But, as I said, being out from under the thumb of USCIS is great.
  19. ***One comment in violation of the Terms of Service removed*** -Condone or instruct, either directly or indirectly, others on how to commit fraudulent or illegal immigration activities in any way, shape, manner or method.
  20. ****This topic has been moved to the Adjustment of Status from Work, Student, & Tourist Visas forum****
  21. Then this is the guide for you to stay and adjust status. Just be aware that you cannot work inside the US or leave for up to 6 months or so.
