  1. Have they paid the $220 Green Card fee to USCIS? If not, they need to pay to receive an actual plastic card. They will not receive green cards until it is paid. Pay the fee here: USCIS - Immigrant Fee - USCIS Immigrant Fee They will need 2 pieces of information (located on the visa).
  2. I would marry via Utah Zoom, meet, then file a new I-130 to start the CR-1 process.
  3. You and your spouse could have (and probably should have) filed a joint return in 2019. You do not have to be working to file a joint return. Other than the fact your husband owed more taxes by filing separately, I don't see an issue. I would upload a short letter explaining that you had no income, and your husband chose to file separately for 2019...or, even better, amend the 2019 taxes as @Mike E stated.
  4. You will not be authorized to work inside the US until you receive an approved Employment Authorization Document. That could take 3 to 8 months (I would prepare the upper end). If working immediately upon entering the US, then marriage and a CR-1 would be a better choice than a K-1. Every couple has their own priorities, and each couple must decide which visa is better for their situation. K-1 More expensive than CR-1 Requires Adjustment of Status after marriage (expensive and requires a lot of paperwork) Spouse can not leave the US until she/he receives approved Advance Parole (approx 6-8 months) Spouse can not work until she/he receives EAD (approx 6-8 months) Some people have had problems with driver licenses, Social Security cards, leases, bank account during this period Spouse will not receive Green Card for many months after Adjustment of Status is filed. A K-1 might be a better choice when 18-21 year old children are immigrating also In some situations, marriage can affect certain Home country benefits, making a K-1 a better choice A denied K-1 is sent back to USCIS to expire CR-1 Less expensive than K-1 No Adjustment of Status(I-485, I-131, I-765) required. Spouse can immediately travel outside the US Spouse is authorized to work immediately upon arrival. Spouse receives Social Security Card and Green Card within 2 or 3 weeks after entering the US Opening a bank account, getting a driver's license, etc. are very easily accomplished with GC, SS card, and passport. Spouse has legal permanent Resident status IMMEDIATELY upon entry to US.
  5. There is no letter to prove you have met. That is evidenced by passport stamps, airline boarding passes, lodging receipts, etc. As @powerpuff stated, you should study the guides.
  6. Normally, applicants have a choice of either English or the consulate's native language
  7. Care to elaborate? The fact is that they were admitted as visitors. Unless they misrepresented themselves at POE, they can apply to adjust status. If they lied at entry regarding their intent, adjustment could be denied. I have seen one case in which a spouse was specifically questioned during a secondary inspection when she entered as a visitor. She said she would not apply to adjust. At her Adjustment of Status interview, the officer had her specific statements from entry. He accused her of a misrepresentation, and he denied her case.
  8. What was their intent when they traveled? How would waiting 90 days change what they intended 90 days earlier?
  9. With a pending I-751 since March 2019, I am hoping for a combo interview!!!!! It's time to end this journey. N-400 interview scheduled for Dec 14th in Dallas!!!!!
