    Both. We received it almost immediately online in the "documents" section in my wife's USCIS account. We received the hard copy (which I subsequently lost, lol) in the mail a week or so (I think) later.

    As @Family suggested, my wife simply uploaded a letter as extra evidence which stated our request and reminded the officer that we had been waiting a long time. Did it work? I'm not sure. Did it do any harm? Absolutely not. A few days before the scheduled N-400 interview, we received an email which stated it was mandatory for me to attend since it was a combo interview.

    I'd like to see evidence of this "damn well effective for the vast majority of filers". It's risky is some cases, but I think this case warrants it.

    The CBP officer does not decide whether a 2 year card or a 10 year card is issued. That will be done based on your records. The CR1 stamp is irrelevant.

    It took 44 months from filing the I-751 for the I-751 approval. My wife had one six month ADIT stamp which expired months ago.

    No. You must contact NVC and the consulate to request they be interviewed together. You need to hold the first one at NVC. They are SEPARATE cases and are processed independently.

    Where is your spouse RIGHT now? I-485 is NEVER applicable for a spousal visa.

    Technically, "Form I-485 & Biometrics Fees" should have been put in the memo section, but I think USCIS will accept it as is.

    I'll add that there is a current member who is, as we speak, fighting to save an N-400 because he and his spouse missed a scheduled I-751 interview. It is a big, big mess (address change issue) which will possibly result in a denied I-751 (missed interview) and a denied N-400 (due a previously denied I-751). GO to that interview on the 13th!!!

    Had a combo interview about a week ago. I-751 portion was done first, then the N-400 interview. When we returned home about an hour later, the I-751 status remained "Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview". The N-400 status had already changed to "Oath ceremony will be scheduled". The next day, the I-751 status changed to "We approved your case". We received an email a few days before the interview to inform us it was a combo interview. Took 44 months from filing to approval for the I-751. No RFEs. Took 4 months from filing to approval for the N-400. No RFEs.

    I would submit a FEW pictures with labels. Concentrate on quality evidence, not quantity.

    Yes. If you are lucky, they will do the combo interview then. If not, you will just have to return on the 17th. Good luck!!!

    Every case is different. As the late, great VJer, @geowrian said "USCIS is like a huge grocery store. Some lines are just faster than others." I agree that the waiting is pure agony. Good luck on the rest of your journey.

    Took my wife about 90 minutes from arrival. Depends on POE crowd size. With a valid spousal visa, the actual processing shouldn't take long. This is not an interrogation or visa interview. Relax, and enjoy your trip.

    No, that is not true. Some countries and some cases require a longer administrative process. All cases go through some AP before approval. I wish you well.

    Her chances of getting a non-immigrant visa while having immigrant intent is nil. She can apply, but Consulate Officers are bound by law.

    Go to the appointment. The written instructions are accurate. Don't trust what a rep tells you on the phone.
