  1. Would you rather have to try getting an infopass appointment at USCIS for an ADIT stamp? Appointments are not easy to get.
  2. I-751s are a cash cow. Take the client's money and sit on it.....then wait for them to send MORE money (N-400) before taking any action. They should refund the I-751 fee for anyone who has a combo interview (I know, a pipedream).
  3. Is she this clueless, or did these idiots actually think no one would notice? Maybe both.
  4. I guess they don't expect I-751 processing times to decrease. My wife's I-751 took only 44 months from filing to approval.
  5. We had been waiting since March 2019. But, in Aug 2022, we filed my wife's N-400. 4 months later, both the I-751 and N-400 were approved during a combo interview. Took 44 months to approve the I-751 Took 4 months to approve the N-400. Both approved during combo interview on Dec 14, 2022 My wife will become a citizen in 3 days. My advice is to file for citizenship as soon as eligible.
  6. In the long run, citizenship is less expensive since her Green Card won't have to be renewed over and over. Fees are not getting any lower. In addition, there is the benefit of not having to deal with USCIS ever again (address changes, etc).
  7. She could have been a US citizen years ago. Good luck on your journey.
  8. Sounds like a good question for Jim Hacking's Immigration Show on Youtube. It is a free consultation.
  9. Your question was answered the last time you asked.... the time your "mother" asked. There is no visa number available for you. I-130 “mother-green card holder, applying for unmarried son over 21” - Bringing Family Members of Permanent Residents to America - VisaJourney Please don't ask the same question multiple times.
  10. I can tell you that our case was transferred from one USCIS service center to another a few years ago, and it did not delay approval at all. Good luck on the rest of your journey.
  11. Really? OMG!!!! Why is that? I'm glad my wife did not opt for a name change (3 day until oath ceremony).
  12. Oh, it is clear, to me, that the sister wants to commit fraud. Fraud is not condoned here. Misrepresentation is a serious matter which could result in severe legal penalties.
  13. Look under "eligibility requirements" here: Bringing Children, Sons and Daughters to Live in the United States as Permanent Residents | USCIS
  14. If there was significant fraud, or if I-751s were effective at weeding out fraud, there would be a higher percentage of denied I-751s. That 1% to 3% (denied cases) also includes cases denied for technical reasons other than fraud.
  15. What paperwork? Where does your wife's sister fit in the chart I posted above?
  16. You have to wait. The consulate won't get your case documents until after the interview is scheduled by NVC. 1. Case is DQ'd by NVC. 2. Case then enters NVC queue for your consulate and waits at NVC. 3. Consulate informs NVC of available interview date for upcoming month. 4. NVC schedules interview when case reaches the front of the queue for that consulate. 5. NVC notifies person of interview date via email. 6. NVC then sends case to consulate. After the interview is scheduled, it can take several days to several weeks for the consulate to receive the case.
  17. I assume your wife is a Green card holder. I also assume the Daughter is married. Your wife needs to be a citizen to petition them.
  18. Note to others: There are no benefits in waiting to file for adjustment of status. Waiting delays getting a Green Card, delays ability to travel outside the US, delays ability to legally work, delays eligibility to file for citizenship.
