  1. USCIS Immigration Processing Times - VisaJourney Per VJ members, the average time from NOA1 to interview is: K-1: 575 days + another year or 2 until a Green Card is issued. CR-1/IR-1: 572 days + 0 days since the spousal visa holder IMMEDIATELY becomes a legal resident upon arriving in the US.
  2. 100% inaccurate if you were married for 2 years or longer on the day the Adjustment of Status was approved. Ignore the reminder email from USCIS.
  3. We received the receipt and bio reuse notices the same day. We also got a "we have taken action..."....but nothing I could see. Be aware that you might get the "We are actively reviewing your case.." notice, too.
  4. No. However, getting a B2 now is almost guaranteed to fail. You have a very high obstacle to overcome since you have immigrant intent. Consulate Officers know some people just want to get inside the US in order to avoid the K-1 processing time.
  5. Have you filed an N-400? We filed an I-751 about a month before you did. Our case was also at MSC. My wife filed her N-400 in August 2022. 4 months later, we attended a combo interview. My wife became a citizen last Thursday. My advice: File the N-400 online.
  6. I don't see an issue. Legal tax strategy is not an immigration issue.
  7. You cannot legally file as single if you were married as of 12/31/2022. Your spouse's location is irrelevant. You can file as follows: As a married taxpayer, choose one: 1. "Married- Filing Jointly" if your spouse has a SSN or ITIN (or you can apply for one). 2. "Head Of Household" if you qualify. 3. "Married- Filing Separately." If your tax preparer says you can file as "single" since your spouse is not yet in the US, he/she is wrong.
  8. You MUST include the most recent tax documents AND you MUST include proof of CURRENT annual income such as pay stubs, employment letter, etc. .
  9. Past years income is not important. CURRENT income is king. Sounds like you have that covered.
  10. Is this income going to continue after you both are inside the US?
  11. File for Naturalization online, then leave USCIS in the dust in a few months.
  12. Covid didn't alter the number of visas available. The long wait is due to number of people applying vs number of visas allowed per year for that category. Petition approvals are fast. Visa number availability is very, very slow.
  13. Should have if they detected it then. If unsigned, it won't make it through the entire process, imo.
  14. If you failed to sign the I-129f or the letter of intent to marry, it will likely be rejected.
  15. The USC can file separately now, then amend the tax return to jointly later after the new immigrant receives a SSN.
  16. I don't think you have a choice since the consulate gave you specific instructions.
  17. We had a combo interview. The IO wanted to evidence of bona fide marriage from date of filing the I-751 to interview date. Driver's licenses, bank statements, leases, credit cards, car insurance, etc.
