  1. Most people who travel that far, for a visit, can't just suddenly decide to stay in the US. It just isn't practical. That would require pre-planning.....which is visa fraud.
  2. Yes. It is required. All petitioners must have domicile in the US or evidence to prove intent to re-locate back to the US. Green Cards are for living in the US.
  3. Notice the words "May not" and "if". It doesn't say you don't qualify.
  4. Personally, I would take the chance, Each consulate has its own policy for re-scheduling. Personally, I would attend the scheduled interview, if possible. You have the option of entering the US to "activate" the visa, then returning to your country to tie up loose ends. Just an idea.
  5. I haven't used travel insurance, but I can tell you that there are no perfect insurance plans for travelers. There will always be high deductibles, exclusions, claim issues. You probably just have to find one you can tolerate. Good luck.
  6. No. They are all separate, independent cases. There are no derivatives.
  7. Sorry. That doesn't make sense. How does she feel about it?
  8. You are playing word games. It is illegal to enter the UD as a non-immigrant with the intent to adjust status later. You are planning this. It is fraud. We are prohibited by the terms of service, to condone this.
  9. Rationale for my comment above: My wife's removal of conditions took 44 months for approval.....with NO RFEs!!!!
  10. I very, very, very strongly advise him to delay entry until AFTER the 9th of August...by a couple days. You do NOT want to go through removal of conditions. He can mention it to the CBP officer, but the officer doesn't make the determination between 2 or 10 year card. If he enters after 2 years of marriage, USCIS will, excluding a mistake, issue a 10 year Green Card regardless of how the CBP officer stamps the passport.
  11. By whom were you told that? I have seen numerous people succeed by contacting their Senator. Good luck.
  12. "Can he apply for his first passport abroad? " As a US citizen, he must exit and enter the US with a valid US passport. Call your Senator's office and request help. They can find you an emergency appointment.
  13. When did you file the I-751? 2021?
  14. Yes, If your visa has the endorsement stamp, you are good to go.
  15. Interesting. It could indicate that USCIS is balancing the workload between local offices (Maybe your Service Center needs a local office to confirm the approval). I would also say that could be seen as a logical indication that a quick approval is coming....... but, then, it could be another indicator of the incompetence we have all come to expect. I will certainly look forward to your updates.
  16. Based on what I have read in the past: 1. Yes. 2. Yes. 3. Can be problematic. 4. See #3 above.
  17. WTH???? Are you kidding me? I guess that is a signal that you won't have an interview. Hopefully, they will quickly approve after this. However, they should have approved your case based on the evidence you already sent! USCIS is beyond belief!!!
  18. Yellen told China to stay out of the Ukrainian affair. In what world does she have any authority to do that?
  19. It would help if you filled in your timeline properly. Thanks.
  20. That is a standard FE note from NVC. If your joint sponsor is well-qualified, just ignore the note. The officer at AIT will make the final determination. Good luck. Long live Taiwan, The Republic of China.
