  1. ***Moved to Adjustment of Status from Work, Student, or Tourist Visas****
  2. The I-130 MUST be filed either before or with the I-485. The I-130 is the basis for the I-485. You can file I-130 online, then include the receipt notice for the I-130 along with the mailed I-485. I-485s cannot be filed online.
  3. Although visa numbers are immediately available for immediate relatives, interviews are not immediate due to people already waiting in line.
  4. Please be advised that it can take several to many months for NVC to schedule an interview. Normally, there is a queue in front of you when a case is DQ'd.
  5. If you leave them both blank, USCIS will place the I-130 on hold, then it will require an I-824 to move it to the correct location. This would cause a delay of more than a year.
  6. Fill in 62.a-c. Failure to do could result in the I-130 being stuck at USCIS. I would put "N/A" in 61.a-b.
  7. I wouldn't count on a B2 being issued. She has immigrant intent. Anyone who is granted a B2 under these circumstances is an outlier.
  8. The stats from the last quarter of FY 2022 certainly make it appear they are rapidly reducing the N-400 backlog. I-751s are easy money for no effort on their part. Many people are filing both the I-751 fee and the N-400 fee before any processing is done. That means they sit for years. We all deserve better.
  9. That checklist you reference is just an abbreviated version of the official instructions. The actual instructions include submitting more than "required" documents. Please stop spreading misinformation.
  10. Did you even read @beloved_dingo's comment above? Please do not spread misinformation here.
  11. AGAIN, Bona fide relationship evidence is needed for an N-400 filed under the 3 year rule!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The OP for this thread filed the N-400 under the 3 year rule!!!! Your advice for this OP is inaccurate.
  12. It wouldn't surprise if this was simply staged in an effort to deflect the harsh criticism Biden received from both sides of the aisle after he allowed the real Chinese balloon to complete its mission.. Supposedly, this was a much, much smaller object.
  13. That was the case 2 weeks ago when my wife naturalized in Plano.
  14. Green Cards are taken away. Not sure about the other stuff. I assume they will take them away, too.
  15. It makes perfect sense to upload documents prior to the interview. Under the 3-year rule, you must provide evidence of bona fide relationship .....and @Rocio0010 is filing under the 3-year rule. You need to study the process.
  16. Exactly right. Weak Biden and his Pentagon got a lot of negative feedback they didn't like.
  17. I think you will need a SSN to start a company. You did mark the box on the DS-260 to receive a SS Card, correct?
  18. Agree. I would just let it ride while continuing to collect additional evidence (which you will likely need at a later date such as N-400).
  19. You can work from day 1. What you do later is not an immigration issue. You do not need the physical cards to start work.
  20. I'd say the chances are about 1%. When it comes to evidence of a bona fide marriage, there is no set number of required documents. I would that Immigration Officers are more professional than you assume. The ones I have met during interviews are.
  21. Once you enter the US via an immigrant visa, you are immediately authorized to work (Your stamped visa is a Green Card). Actually, if working for a Canadian company, you would not need a Social Security number to work or to be paid...unless that company required it. You will need a SSN to report your world-wide income to the IRS at tax time.
