  1. A B2 visa is a visitor visa. It is for the purpose of visiting the US.
  2. Seems there are a large number of foreign nationals in Canada who need visas to enter the US. That's why there is a long wait for an appointment.
  3. Do not travel without US passport - U.S. Embassy in the Dominican Republic (usembassy.gov) It doesn't advocate doing that. This is what it says: "The American Citizen Services Section wants to remind all U.S. citizens not to travel outside the United States without a valid U.S. passport. While dual citizens may be able to travel abroad with alternative documentation, all U.S. citizens are required to present a U.S. passport to re-enter the United States. We have seen many individuals who have recently naturalized as U.S. citizens travel outside the United States with only their naturalization certificate and/or passport of another nationality be turned away when attempting to reenter the United States. Your trip could easily be extended as one must schedule an appointment at the U.S. Embassy in Santo Domingo to obtain a passport while in the Dominican Republic. To avoid delays, obtain your U.S. passport prior to departing for an international trip and verify that the passport will not expire before your return to the United States.
  4. Dual Nationality (state.gov) "U.S. nationals, including U.S. dual nationals, must use a U.S. passport to enter and leave the United States. U.S. dual nationals may also be required by the country of their foreign nationality to use that country’s passport to enter and leave that country. Use of the foreign passport to travel to or from a country other than the United States is not inconsistent with U.S. law. "
  5. and Secretary of State Pantsuit kept classified information in her home on internet-connected computers......but I guess no prosecutor would charge that crime. What a joke and obvious political persecution of Trump this is. Biden will regret this... Mark my words.
  6. Several significant issues here. I would strongly advise hiring some expert legal help in getting this done as efficiently as possible.
  7. File under the 5 year rule if you have tax documents for those years. Filing online is a piece of cake.
  8. ****Moved to the Philippines regional forum*****
  9. I have seen one as short as a few weeks, while others have waited more than 3 years (My wife). I advise to file your N-400 as soon as you are eligible....and hope.
  10. I don't recall them running low on original Coke..... I guess they "anticipated" the backlash.
  11. Just fill out another AR-11 if you want it corrected.
  12. The person who throws good money after bad usually ends up even poorer. They might have to just euthanize BL.
  13. Never seen anyone get that info from NVC. If you are successful, please post how you did it. Good luck.
  14. I would take the transcripts, although the officer might not even ask for them. Our officer did not.
  15. Yes. Name, dates, and result are required. "Approved" then "withdrawn" would be appropriate in the RESULT box.
  16. My wife recently naturalized under the 5 year rule. Online filing was a piece of cake. We didn't need to submit bona fide marriage evidence. Filing to oath took less than 6 months. I hope your journey will be fast, too. Being out from under the thumb of USCIS is a wonderful feeling.
  17. There were no changes in the law. You were badly misinformed. If you qualify, the 5 year rule is a good choice, imo.
  18. Laws and "gun free zones" mean nothing to crazy people and criminals. I offer Chicago as a prime example. Each individual is responsible for his/her own personal, legal protection. When a bad guy shows up with a gun, the best protection is 2 good guys with guns....imho.
  19. OK. That would be real progress. That range would certainly help planning a long trip easier.
  20. I see no reason to mention the K-1. It could raise questions. Of course evidence of your time together, whenever, is good.
  21. That is correct. However, CURRENT annual income is king.
  22. Yes. It appears you completed the I-130 incorrectly. It appears you either marked both choices or you marked neither Adjustment of Status or Consular Processing for your wife's process toward legal residency. Thus, your I-130 is stuck at USCIS. If your wife is currently outside the US, you will have to pay for and submit an I-824 to move the I-130 to NVC. This could delay the process for up to a year. If, on the other hand, your wife is CURRENTLY in the US, she can file I-485, I-765, I-131 packages to apply for a Green Card.
  23. I would NOT include the K-1 withdrawal letter. I don't see the withdrawal as evidence of a bona fide relationship. The best evidence you can provide is your marriage certificate and evidence of time actually spent together. The apartment rental contract and flight info are good evidence. I would throw in 1 or 2 personal affidavits. Good luck. I hope you have a smooth journey.
