  1. Sounds like a tier one called you. The only thing which resembles any truth to what the USCIS person said is that they are now sending out 48 month extension letters instead of 24 month extension letters. You may or may not get one. Have you filed an N-400 for citizenship yet? There is no new "temporary Green card".
  2. ***Thread moved to Process and Procedures***
  3. Your choice. Others read these threads, too. A copy of the I-134 should be fine. However, you can always just fill in a new, original one. Good luck on your journey. Many people who are currently with their fiance would find a CR-1 to be superior.
  4. If you were married as of 12/31/2022, you COULD file married Filing Jointly.....but if you had significant income, it might be better for your wife to, again, file separately. You will not be required to file until after the end of the 2023 tax year.
  5. Every couple has their own priorities, and each couple must decide which visa is better for their situation. K-1 More expensive than CR-1 Requires Adjustment of Status after marriage (expensive and requires a lot of paperwork) Spouse can not leave the US until she/he receives approved Advance Parole (approx 6-8 months) Spouse can not work until she/he receives EAD (approx 6-8 months) Some people have had problems with driver licenses, Social Security cards, leases, bank account during this period Spouse will not receive Green Card for many months after Adjustment of Status is filed. A K-1 might be a better choice when 18-21 year old children are immigrating also In some situations, marriage can affect certain Home country benefits, making a K-1 a better choice A denied K-1 is sent back to USCIS to expire CR-1 Less expensive than K-1 No Adjustment of Status(I-485, I-131, I-765) required. Spouse can immediately travel outside the US Spouse is authorized to work immediately upon arrival. Spouse receives Social Security Card and Green Card within 2 or 3 weeks after entering the US Opening a bank account, getting a driver's license, etc. are very easily accomplished with GC, SS card, and passport. Spouse has legal permanent Resident status IMMEDIATELY upon entry to US.
  6. All consulates offer DCF with exceptional circumstances.
  7. @General Buhari, I think I would contact the consulate directly for DCF instructions.
  8. Yep. You beat me by about 5 seconds. It's a long, long time since I've heard of the G-325a......
  9. This might be old information. I thought they stopped using the G-325a years ago. Wasn't it replaced with a new I-130?
  10. KJP is the biggest clown to ever be appointed to that position.
  11. I think it means when you become a legal resident. That is when you enter the US via the immigrant visa.
  12. The "A" number is also called a USCIS Registration number. It will be printed on the visa.
  13. Vias numbers are just now available for those F2B cases petitioned in late September of 2015.
  14. What visa category? Is there a visa number available?
  15. During our combo interview, the IO wanted to see evidence of both our names and common addresses on common documents like driver's licenses, car insurance, bank statements.
  16. Please fill in your VJ timeline. When did you become a Green card holder? How long have you been married to a US citizen?
  17. If she is legally residing in Canada, she can complete the process there. I would strongly suggest you consider a CR-1. 19. Perfect!!! Good luck on your journey (from Dallas)
  20. Be aware that you cannot file an I-130 until you have met after the marriage ceremony. Good Luck!!
