  1. We needed wife's divorce certificate. She obtained it on a regular trip back to Taiwan. By that time, it was simpler to file under the 5-year rule. Bottom line: It took the N-400 to "unstick" the I-751.
  2. 40 months after submitting the I-751 (we had been waiting for an interview since early 2019), my wife applied for citizenship. 4 months later both I-751 and N-400 were approved during a combo interview. six weeks after the interview, she took the citizenship oath and became a citizen. In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1. It took 44 months for approval of the I-751. It took 4 months for approval of the N-400
  3. ****Moved to the Philippines regional forum for country specific question*****
  4. Immediately contact both NVC and the consulate and ask for daughter's case to be expedited and scheduled with the others.
  5. Why did they give that one to CBP? Were they instructed to do that?
  6. Hopefully, they forgot the email. Go forth and conquer USCIS!!!
  7. The email came 2 days prior to the interview: "USCIS Applicant, This email is in reference to your upcoming interview at the Dallas Field Office, it is for an I751(Petition to Remove Conditions) and N400 (Application for Naturalization) combination. It is imperative that your spouse accompany you to this interview, also that you bring proof of a marital union. Please refer to https://www.uscis.gov/i-751 for examples. We look forward to meeting each you both at your interview in the near future."
  8. Yes. It was several days before the interview date. It explained it was mandatory for me to be there, etc...and it used the words combination interview.
  9. Hopefully, you will get the email telling you it is a combo interview!!!! There really is light at the end of the tunnel....and it's not a train. It's a beautiful land where USCIS is gone from your life!!!!
  10. This site has an "Office Reviews and Info" area which gives individual consulate reviews. You might get some info there.
  11. They are going to look back at everything in your N-400 case, especially since you file the I-751 with waiver. and they can ask questions about EVERYTHING.
  12. Seems like a very long time after your I-751 interview to still be pending. A decision should have been made long ago. You are correct that the I-751 must, technically, be approved before a decision can be made for the N-400. Personally, I would lawyer up for this one. Something seems amiss with the I-751.
  13. You could attend the interview as scheduled. Your visa would be placed on hold afterwards until the medical exam is completed and sent to the consulate. That is not uncommon.
  14. NVC NEVER schedules a K-1 interview---NEVER. A K-1 never pays fees to NVC. That whole paragraph is for immigrant visas not a K-1. Loks like a poor job by the web site manager.
  15. It's your time and your money. Good luck. Unfollowing this thread.
  16. Everyone you complain to will refer you to this below. I see no justification for intervention, but I wish you luck in the future.
  17. As long as you are within the normal processing time, you will, likely, not get any attention. I don't think there is anything you can do. Patience is still the key.
  18. That is often misleading and inaccurate. I wouldn't put much faith in that. Good luck.
  19. I know it's frustrating, but I doubt you can get any help from them until you are beyond their stated normal processing times.
  20. Orlando office time is 15.5 months for N-400. Processing Times (uscis.gov)
  21. Per the Passport Status page, there was a system issue which caused some passports submitted between Feb 6-Feb 13 to show "Not Available". As of a few days ago, wife's status is now "In Process". I'm just happy that her Naturalization Certificate wasn't lost.
  22. No, that email doesn't mean much. What service center has your I-130?
