    You are correct. Visas are always approved AFTER the interview. The only real indication is the status changing to "Issued". All visas go through administrative processing. Some cases take longer than others. If you were not asked to provide additional documentation, you just have to wait it out. Good luck.

    Dating 7 years and never met? Your best evidence will be evidence of time actually spent together. You don't have to have joint property or joint accounts at this point. I suggest you meet, spend some time together, then make plans for the future. Good luck. I would strongly advise against a K-1.

    Not everyone is traveling within 14 days. Some people would like to book using their passport number. Try finding an appointment at ANY post Office or Dallas County passport acceptance center. Unless something changed within the last 20 days, all are booked 4 weeks out.

    I have used USPS Priority Mail for immigration documents. It is inexpensive and tracking is included. I have had no issues.

    My understanding is that ISL has a lengthy wait between DQ and interviews. You can check other ISL timelines.

    You do not understand the process. If she entered via an immigrant visa, there is no I-485 needed. Just wait as @Mike E stated.

    I assume you actually mean after the visa is issued. If so, they MUST travel to the US before the expiration date printed on the visa. That date will be no later than 6 months after the date of their medical exam. It could be sooner.

    We submitted wife's passport application on 2/6/23....expedited.... still waiting.

    Supposedly, you can book an appointment at some passport centers if you are traveling within 2 weeks....but that takes action from either the National Passport office or a US Representative or Senator's office.

    You better start looking for appointments as soon as you get the date for your oath. Around Dallas, ALL acceptance centers are booked 4 weeks out.

    Depends on the lender policies. Without a Green Card, you might be out of luck. My wife and I got a low interest mortgage, but she was a legal resident (Green Card holder).

    No. Status is still "In Process". According to a FB group I found, a LOT of people are experiencing issues and delays.

    Submit a new I-864. A new I-864 would be needed to include information from the 2022 tax return (most recent tax year).
