  1. I could see a Consulate Officer hesitating to approve a visa if the US citizen is unaware of this situation.
  2. ***Moved to Working & Traveling During US Immigration**********8
  3. Oh no... I'm sorry to hear that. She needs the original paper document. Of course, the airline might not know that. I'd wait and see what happens....but be prepared to take a trip.
  4. I guess rubber bands are fine, too.
  5. This is what I used. Make it easy for them to scan into the system, imo.
  6. Not an issue. You were visiting that address, were you not? You were not living there.
  7. I suggest he take the entire day off....so you can celebrate after the same day oath....😃
  8. US citizens do not interview for a K-1. If there are big issues, USCIS might (very, very, very rarely) ask to meet with a petitioner at a USCIS office.
  9. That sounds like an envelope containing Xrays. I wouldn't worry about it. Most consulates electronically transfer records. Are you sure your visa does not contain the information @Dashinka asked about?
  10. Unless there are issues, the US citizen will not be interviewed for the K-1. Note: There are no American embassies in the US.
  11. Is the "Do Not Bend" envelope large like XRays??
  12. Ukraine is not on the list I was thinking about. @Boiler knows this stuff.
  13. I know a couple people I would like to see update Hacking. 😃
  14. Read and study!! Become an "A" student on the process and the I-864. Good luck.
  15. There is a list of countries which take longer to process. Which country? We don't judge, here on VJ.
  16. I didn't understand it either. Denver's spouse is in some peril.
  17. Woo!!! Hoo!!!!! Now, we're getting somewhere!!! Congratulations!!!! The end of the agony is near.
  18. Was the transcript in your IRS record or your spouse's record? That is the IRS approved method I used....
  19. Many I-751 get sent to local offices.
  20. No. Not true. In that situation, CBP could try to make you sign an I-407 which would voluntarily surrender your legal status. However, you can (and should) refuse. The only power they actually have, in that situation, is to refer you to an immigration judge. Only a judge can revoke your legal status.
  21. That endorsement stamp means the visa acts as a Green Card for 1 year FROM THE DATE YOU ENTERED THE US. The expiration date printed on the visa is irrelevant once you have entered.
  22. HIV is not grounds for inadmissibility. Your BF doesn't know?
  23. Local office usually plays an important role in processing times, too.
