  1. When did you start (file) the divorce proceedings? I'm just clarifying the sequence of events. We have members who are familiar with this kind of situation.
  2. Is this correct? I-751 submitted: April 2021 Divorce: Sept 2021 I-751 approved: Oct 2022 You never changed to a divorce waiver. Was the divorce finalized in Sept 2021?
  3. When did you file the I-751? You divorced before the I-751 was approved? I-751 submitted: April 2021 Divorce: Sept 2021 I-751 approved: Oct 2022 You never changed to a divorce waiver. Correct?
  4. You do not want anything which might appear ambiguous to USCIS. Get a formal, legal courthouse wedding and a legal marriage certificate.
  5. I wouldn't call it an informal marriage. It will be a legal marriage.
  6. Get a legal courthouse wedding. Get a legal marriage certificate. Then, start the process.
  7. Not necessary if in Spanish.
  8. ***Please do not post in the DCF forum if you are not filing directly with the consulate. Thanks. I have merged both your questions here in this thread*** - VJ Moderation
  9. ***Moved from DCF to the Europe & Eurasia regional forum****
  10. I would consider contacting my Senator about this. A month is too long, imo.
  11. Yesterday, I heard Alan Dershowitz say that Hamas is building new hospitals on top of tunnels. He calls them "Hamaspitals".
  12. Agree. The "what if" scenarios can drive a person crazy......caused me a few sleepless nights..LOL.
  13. I believe the law states you cannot take the oath prior to the full 3 years. I have read that interviews can take place prior to 3 years.
  14. I would take that for what it says. It's been only a week. Maybe you should email the consulate and inquire if you think it's been too long.
  15. Huh? I've never seen that one.....maybe attorney should have been proactive....LOL.
  16. Is TurboTax allowing you to file the 1040X electronically? If so, just file and see what happens.
  17. Be aware of the work and travel restrictions after filing for adjustment of status.
  18. There is a difference between the I-129f approval and the K-1 fiance visa approval: An approved I-129f petition expires 4 months after approval at USCIS...but the Consulate/NVC can (and normally does) extend it in 4 month increments for up to a year until the visa is issued. Then, Issued Visas expire 6 months after the medical exam was conducted.....Visa Expiration date is not based on visa issue date or interview date. The K-1 is a single entry visa. That is the true, complete answer.
  19. Same for me when I lived in Arkansas......as a citizen. Now, in Texas, the law, since 2021, doesn't even require that to carry concealed.
  20. In Texas, Every hunter (including out-of-state hunters) born on or after Sept. 2, 1971, must successfully complete hunter education. But, no license is required to own a firearm. I've never purchased a firearm in Texas, I have bought several in Arkansas. It took about 30 minutes to an hour from saying "I want that one" to walking out the door with item in hand.
  21. It is actually logging our IP addresses into the server. The Captain knows all of our IP addresses used when accessing VJ...
  22. I thought Candians needed only a I-20 or something to study in the US...
