    You do not want anything which might appear ambiguous to USCIS. Get a formal, legal courthouse wedding and a legal marriage certificate.

    Agree. The "what if" scenarios can drive a person crazy......caused me a few sleepless nights..LOL.

    I believe the law states you cannot take the oath prior to the full 3 years. I have read that interviews can take place prior to 3 years.

    I would take that for what it says. It's been only a week. Maybe you should email the consulate and inquire if you think it's been too long.

    Is TurboTax allowing you to file the 1040X electronically? If so, just file and see what happens.

    Be aware of the work and travel restrictions after filing for adjustment of status.

    There is a difference between the I-129f approval and the K-1 fiance visa approval: An approved I-129f petition expires 4 months after approval at USCIS...but the Consulate/NVC can (and normally does) extend it in 4 month increments for up to a year until the visa is issued. Then, Issued Visas expire 6 months after the medical exam was conducted.....Visa Expiration date is not based on visa issue date or interview date. The K-1 is a single entry visa. That is the true, complete answer.

    Same for me when I lived in Arkansas......as a citizen. Now, in Texas, the law, since 2021, doesn't even require that to carry concealed.

    In Texas, Every hunter (including out-of-state hunters) born on or after Sept. 2, 1971, must successfully complete hunter education. But, no license is required to own a firearm. I've never purchased a firearm in Texas, I have bought several in Arkansas. It took about 30 minutes to an hour from saying "I want that one" to walking out the door with item in hand.
