  1. A gun-less coup attempt.....only in the minds of people so blinded by hate for Trump that they have literally lost their minds and all sense of logic, reason, and justice....literally. Trump never organized or condoned the protest that day......unlike what the dems (including Harris) did during the Antifa/BLM riots......
  2. I went with my wife. It is a short fingerprint and photo gathering process. No more.
  3. I envision a phone call to the USC from the consulate or fraud division. I have also seen denial letters using a couple of those things.
  4. Yes. It depends on how long the queue is for your consulate is at NVC. Here is how it works: 1. Case is DQ'd by NVC. 2. Case then enters NVC queue for your consulate and waits at NVC. 3. Consulate informs NVC of available interview date for upcoming month. 4. NVC schedules interview when case reaches the front of the queue for that consulate. 5. NVC notifies person of interview date via email. 6. NVC then sends case to consulate. After the interview is scheduled, it can take several days to several weeks for the consulate to receive the case.
  5. I forgot. He wanted to see that, too...That seemed to carry substantial weight, showing us both as drivers for the same vehicle. ..I had it in my stack. Thank you for the kind words.
  6. USC spouse needs to join us here for this discussion....asap.
  7. Not while you are physically inside the US. You must have authorization for any work done while you are inside the United States.
  8. Wife and I had a combo interview in December 2022. The officer checked our IDs and Driver's Licenses for same address. He asked how we met. He wanted to see proof of relationship since filing the original I-751 (March 2019). I gave him bank statements and leases. He was specific about leases showing signatures of both of us, and the paperwork trail from filing date until interview. I came fully prepared for everything he asked. Yes, he asked both of us questions. It was easy. He then escorted me out, and continued wife's N-400 interview.
  9. What she earned in 2022 is not important as what she is CURRENTLY earning. What can you do? Hire a very good immigration attorney. Until you figure out what the fraud issue is, you're spinning your wheels.
  10. @Akin Michael There is more to this story. Consulate Officers don't normally refer cases to the fraud division simply because they doubt the relationship. There is something else going on. What could be in your background or the USC's background to initiate a fraud investigation? I suggest your wife hire the very best immigration attorney as possible....
  11. The average time from NOA1 to NOA2 is 388 days per other VJ members. News is on the horizon...
  12. @Karay This is a lifetime ban. I would hire an experienced attorney.
  13. Hopefully, USCIS will associate the I-485 and I-765. You just have to wait.
  14. Here is the Visa Journey guide for a CR-1 spousal visa:
  15. It is illegal to come to the US as a visitor with the intent to stay. Visiting during the process from Canada is much better than many members here. Some of us were separated for a year or more. Good luck on your journey. As soon as you marry and meet, you can start the CR-1 process (proving you have a marriage certificate).
  16. This was not an employment based I-485. It was family-based. Therefore, it should have been sent to: USCIS Chicago Lockbox U.S. Postal Service (USPS): USCIS Attn: AOS P.O. Box 805887 Chicago, IL 60680 FedEx, UPS, and DHL deliveries: USCIS Attn: AOS (Box 805887) 131 S. Dearborn St., 3rd Floor Chicago, IL 60603-5517 It can cause a delay.
  17. Yes...at the discretion of CBP (as in every entry). Good luck.
  18. ***Moved to What Visa Do I Need?**** That is visa fraud. She cannot come to the US as a visitor with the intent to stay and apply for a Green Card. If choosing between a K-1 and a CR-1, the very clear winner, imo, is the CR-1 spousal visa (except in rare circumstances. See my comparison below: Every couple has their own priorities, and each couple must decide which visa is better for their situation. K-1 More expensive than CR-1 Requires Adjustment of Status after marriage (expensive and requires a lot of paperwork) Spouse can not leave the US until she/he receives approved Advance Parole (approx 6-8 months) Spouse can not work until she/he receives EAD (approx 6-8 months) Some people have had problems with driver licenses, Social Security cards, leases, bank account during this period Spouse will not receive Green Card for many months after Adjustment of Status is filed. A K-1 might be a better choice when 18-21 year old children are immigrating also In some situations, marriage can affect certain Home country benefits, making a K-1 a better choice A denied K-1 is sent back to USCIS to expire K-1 entrant cannot file for citizenship until after having Green Card for 3 years. CR-1 Less expensive than K-1 No Adjustment of Status(I-485, I-131, I-765) required. Spouse can immediately travel outside the US Spouse is authorized to work immediately upon arrival. Spouse receives Social Security Card and Green Card within 2 or 3 weeks after entering the US Opening a bank account, getting a driver's license, etc. are very easily accomplished with GC, SS card, and passport. Spouse has legal permanent Resident status IMMEDIATELY upon entry to US. The clock for citizenship filing starts immediately upon entry to the US.
  19. You can contact anyone you want, but the results are likely to be the same unless you have a justification for expedite. You don't seem to have any grounds for expedite at present. Please see this VJ thread:
  20. Current annual income is calculated as follows: Gross income from latest pay period multiplied times the number of pay periods per 12 months. It is not what you made in past months. It is the gross income you will earn over the future 12 months....from now. Calendar year is irrelevant. Example. If I get a pay raise in July, my current annual income should be based on what my income will be over the next 12 months (July-July).....not what I earned from January to December. If you have more than one job, then you calculate the same way for each job, then add them together.
  21. List the income under annual household income. Income does not have to be taxable to list. Use VA Awards letter and Social Security Benefits letters for proof. Note: Current Annual income and last 3 tax year numbers to be listed on the I-864 are unrelated unless you are self-employed. They do not have to match.
  22. The time at NVC won't be the issue. The real wait will be after DQ, waiting for an interview. It could take many months.
