  1. Both numbers are on the visa itself: A Number = Registration Number DOS Case number is 3 letters and following numbers (NVC Case #)
  2. The RFE should specify how to submit the response. Can you post a copy of the instructions (without any personal info)?
  3. I could probably do our taxes now, but I would rather pay our CPA to do it. She has done our taxes and FBAR every year since wife arrived in 2017. We've gotten it down to a science now. I send her a spreadsheet that reports wifes foreign income and foreign bank account info every year, along with our US income evidence. Our CPA then files our 1040 package and FBAR, etc. She also includes a tax review. She charges me about what I have seen some people pay for H&R Block....and that includes filing the FBAR with the Treasury Department. The first year, she ran the numbers several ways to help us determine the best tax strategy. Since wife had significant income prior to arriving from a country without a tax treaty, dual status was the best choice for my wife that year.
  4. If you followed the instructions on the RFE as directed, you should be OK, although it will take time. It is not unusual for USCIS to ask for things already submitted. **Moved to the IR-1/CR-1 Progress forum area***
  5. I suggest you either find another attorney for the N-400 or do it yourself to prevent errors.

  9. No one is saying that at all. Just be prepared for scrutiny. They might ask questions.
  10. In what month were you married in 2018?
  11. I don't know how I missed this. Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!! Great report!!! You did it!!!! It's a great feeling having USCIS off your back, isn't it?
  12. You are right to be concerned. He has been using a Green Card as a visitor visa. I would be prepared for extreme scrutiny next month. He will probably be given the opportunity to surrender his Green Card when he arrives. However, no one can be certain what will happen.

  14. You do not have to be there after the package is submitted. You are not required for the interview.
  15. The "Block New Topics 2019 is throwing an error" started again. Anyone else seeing it?

  19. That is going to be a problem....a big one. Marriage solely for immigration benefits is illegal.
  20. Her case will never get to the interview stage. The case is dead if the petitioner withdrew the I-130. Are you saying she is looking for someone just for immigration benefits?
  21. That is all you can do. You have fulfilled your obligations to withdraw the case. A visa cannot be issued without a valid I-130 and a valid I-864.
  22. If you have sent letters to USCIS, NVC, and the consulate before the visa was issued, you have done more than necessary to withdraw a case. I think you can peacefully move on and seek happiness for yourself.
  23. Your personal experience is why you paint such a broad and derogatory picture of half the country's voters? You've been watching too much MSNBC and The View.
