Fiancee visa proces
Beth & Achraf replied to Boxet838's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
You must be honest with your partner. Especially if you had sexual relations while together........If so, is there a chance now he can be infected? -
Here is it & yes it does look a bit off, but I think its legit. I also called way back then, a Mr. Ali was so nice and helpful when I had questions. Try calling and asking for him. I need to also contact the consulate, my husband Moroccan ID card expired. Best to get it while his citizenship petition is processing - pending. Contact Number: 212-758-2625 E-mail: cons.morocco@gmail.com Home | The consulate general of Morocco in New York (moroccanconsulate.com) Try this one also, looks more legit Home page | Consular services (consulat.ma)

Steps to get married in Tunisia
Beth & Achraf replied to Its Me Again's topic in Middle East and North Africa
I think you are trying to say that CERTIFIED COPIES of the birth certificate and divorce decree has to be issued within 20 days? Cause when certified copies are issued, they are stamped by the courts or issuing agency stating they are certified copies with date the certificate copies were issued by someone's request. -
Even with a "clean " case, no two cases are the same. just like a finger print. He is from a MENA country, so expect AP on him, most MENA men and now women undergo Additional Processing Keep in mind, it's all about him, and not of you when it comes to the processing . Everyone is trying to guide you, & being flip to them is not appreciated. Some have been here a very long time and are very knowledgeable with the immigration process. You may want to check out the MENA forum here on VJ.

K1 requirements, meeting within 2 years of all the years on VJ, ( with original profile from 2007) I never seen a K1 visa petition approved with a wavier due to not meeting. Even with all good intentions of meeting, even with a heath issue keeping from meeting at the moment. Even a lawyer would say, " Then wait until you can travel." Visitors Visa to US, Has to show strong ties to his country, such as a good job, home, or own a business. Strong reason to return to his country, especially from Africa. A letter- invitation from you would not help at all, a visitor's visa is what HE applies for, not you. It's all on him. Also keep in mind, the person on the other side of the computer screen can very well NOT be the person you think they are. Be careful inviting someone into you home who you truly do not know if a Visitor's Visa is somehow approved. Best of luck whatever way you file.

Any Course of Action?

"or is this country a total 3rd world ####### hole now? " Really?!?!? Count your self lucky, no more immigration for your wife for this 3rd world ##### hole -
Marry her or not in the UK, she can't be interviewed there, due to her UK visa being expired. Don't think you can obtain a marriage license in UK with her being our of status there. She has to go back to Nigeria to be interviewed for K1 or a CR1 visa since her visa for the UK is expired A zoom marriage is fine, but you have to consummate the marriage before filing with USCIS. Her being in UK is not going to make the visa process faster. She will still go under all the background checks as if she was in NIgeria.

Administrative Processing Egypt
Beth & Achraf replied to Laura and Taha's topic in Middle East and North Africa
Isn't it a bit early for a Writ of Mandamus? A/P can take a while, even if others have received their visas from Cairo, each case if different like a fingerprint. I know first hand how the Embassy is in Cairo, completely unorganized. Been there, saw it, done it. -

Vietnam Consulate Returning case back to USCIS

NOID's can be overcome, I wrote our, never had a lawyer for our process. -
and if worse comes to worse, take docs to British Embassy there in Cairo, I'm sure there is a Egyptian working there that can most likely confirm its a solid divorce and all is stamped and checked correctly.

Honestly, I wouldn't pay him a dime until its complete , but that could go against you, I wouldn't pay him all at once, and I would stay with him every moment if possible, and make sure you get the divorce registered. Good Luck. Make sure its a Irrevocable Divorce if your Muslim

I suggest you contact a lawyer over there, maybe your consulate can give you some names of attorneys there. I'm not sure of how divorce works over there if man is Christian, and woman is Muslim, but I do know , make sure that divorce is on file when done.

AP can last from hours, to days, to months..... All you can do is wait it out. No matter if Cairo, normally MENA applicants are put into AP -
