  1. We don't need to Lawyer UP. Hard part was obtaining the 10 year green. This time it is all about HIM.
  2. We had a hard ride for my husbands 10 green card, but managed it without an attorney. We had red flags, me- previous marriage to foreign national who I filed marriage visa for, and then cancelled it, age difference, & had a Stokes interview, which truly lasted about 2 minutes for him and for me. Was issued a NOID, we provided the evidence they requested, and finally was approved after nearly 3 years. I suspect this final go around will be easier, as we are more than prepared to show continuing marriage since 10 green card was issued.
  3. We are not using a lawyer, don't need to. Husband got his green card 4 years ago. Looks like will send off petition by end of week or first of next week, car dealership called, our plates-registration are in. That is all we were waiting on , one more piece of evidence.
  4. We will send petition also most likely late November, just awaiting the registration of his new truck from the dealership, its in both our names along with my 2022 auto.
  5. When you sent it USPS , did you get Proof Of Delivery?, such as signature, date-time received? If they received it on time, you may be able to fight the denial.
  6. Husband is studying hard, and taking tests at home. I copied the test several times for him to take over and over again.
  7. Spouses not allowed at ceremony at Gears? Did I read that correctly?
  8. I wonder if they ask the same 5 questions to each petitioner? Husband is currently studying for exam now.
  9. Houston office here, almost ready to send our ( my husbands) based on 3 year rule. Just waiting for the registration- plates to come in on his new truck as its joint. Just want this all over before Nov 2024
  10. If you had your interview in the Houston, Tx USCIS office for citizenship, Can you recall nay of the 10 questions they asked you on the Civics Exam? Husband is trying to memorize all 100 flash cards I got him. Thank you
  11. A tourist Visa is issued Soley on the petitioners' merits, there is no sponsorship, invitations, or providing funds for the expenses for them , etc will not obtain a Visitors Visa for them. They have to give convincing evidence they will return to their country before expiration of the visa.
  12. Tried to adjust from visitor's visa, failed the interview, divorcing and wants to re marry & again apply for green card = a lot of red flags. If he does remarry, has to prove a true relationship, joint banking, credit cards, lease or mortgage, life insurance on each other, joint auto titles, etc. Will need LOTS of evidence especially since first filing with USCIS failed.
  13. Don't do anything until Visa is in hand. If approved, she could be put into AP after interview. They are doing AP even for women now from MENA countries.
  14. first, they have to renew the Moroccan ID card, that can take 8 weeks to do so, once receive the new ID Card, then can renew passport by mail with NY Moroccan consulate. I just went through this last week with Moroccan consulate in NY on the phone.
  15. We have to go to NY, making flight & hotel, my husband's Moroccan ID expired, and if expired, unable to renew his passport. Don't want to be without his passport since still in waiting mode for his US citizenship petition.
  16. Good day My Husband has to visit the Moroccan Consulate in NY to renew his Moroccan ID card, as they don't do it by mail like they do the passport renewals. His Passport also just expired, so will get that done there also instead of my mail. Anyone can suggest a reasonably price hotel near the consulate?, Anyone ever had to do what we need to do there? We are Planning on going week of Nov. 6-9 for a few days. Also, any idea of how long of a process this is? , I'm hoping its quick process at the consulate, but the ID card can take up to 8 weeks to receive back . Thank you
  17. Don't book a flight until Visa is in hand.!!!! Book the cheapest way, round trip most likely will be the cheapest.
  18. Don't matter, they need to be in her name, and cleared in her name. As mentioned, she will need her green card to prove residency in the US for CBP. CBP don't allow importation of personal effects unless they are US Citizens or LPR's or foreign military here on orders. Example, someone here on visitors visa CANNOT bring in there personal effects - household goods.
  19. She will need to be a LPR to bring in her personal effects as the Customs broker will need to input her SS # and may need possible copy of green card for CBP processing IF CBP asks for copy of entry documents This is what i do, Im a customs broker in Houston.
  20. If a Stokes interview, just be calm and answer honestly We had one, last about 2 minutes, craziest questions asked of us. and I think because our first interview was well over a year before and that IO left and our case sat for months . Our questions were: Who walks our dogs? How many languages do I speak? Do I smoke?
