  1. Interview booked for Monday, August 22, 2016. Yesterday the date changed from Availability from the beginning of the month to the 22nd of August overnight. Registered now for St Luke, mailed off duplicate petition packet yesterday to the PI. Once she gets that, she can set up CFO after reviewing everything in detail. FYI - Cost me $221 to FEDEX that packet to the PI. If I'd known, I would have scanned everything and did a dropbox so she could print it on her end but I had it all packaged and ready to go. OH! And packet in TRANSIT!!

doug they tried to get me at the Fedex Store wanted to charge me $135..... So I called the main office and the flat rate is $46 bucks .. it was something about the box or letter carrier you had to ship in.... Call the Fedex office with your receipt and ask about the shipping price for up to 20 letters and see if they can help

  2. Hi,

So when you check for the status at NVC through ceac its under Immigrant right??? We use rapidvisa service and we informed them that we have our MCN but they emails us back and asked why our MCN is under immigrant and we need to call NVC to verify. So called NVC and I was told that the MCN is right and its for K-1. So confused.

Thought I might ask you since your also under rapidvisa. Thanks.

On the Ceac website you will check as immigrant.... but on another form, I think you to fill out as non-immigrant.. but don't quote me on that one

I hv read somewhere on VJ that people oversea called NVC free via ios app? do you know what is that app?

  3. It depends on your situation what works best for you. If you do the cfo 4 hour seminar before interview then you must return to cfo to get the sticker after have you the visa in hand so they can place it onto your visa. but if you do the cfo seminar after you already have visa in hand then you can get the sticker same day after the 4 hour seminar.

For us its better to do the cfo seminar before interview since my fiance lives 11 hours north of manila in province and she will already be in manila for the medical exam, it will give her something to do while she waits st lukes to release her medical documents next day, then she can just return to cfo to get the sticker after she pickup the visa at 2go Mall of Asia.

If you live in or near Manila then maybe its more easy for you to do the cfo seminar and sticker after the interview after you receive your visa in hand.

    DITTO!!!!!!!!!

Its almost over my fellow April Partiers........ :dancing::dancing::dancing::dancing::dancing::dancing::dancing::dancing:

  4. Yesss! I assume your fiance has 1 child hence the 2 case numbers? My fiance has 2 children, so we had MNLXXXXXXXXX 01 MNL Ready, MNLXXXXXXXXX 02 MNL Ready, MNLXXXXXXXXX 03 MNL Ready. Even though were bringing her kids later this year on K2 follow-to-join, they still assign them each case numbers and Beneficiary ID numbers.

Btw our NVC status changed to READY yesterday evening, so last night we scheduled the Interview and cfo seminar, and registered for her medical exam...

    2016-08-01 8:00AM Medical exam
    2016-08-02 9:00AM CFO seminar
    2016-08-09 7:30AM Interview

Looks like our fiances are going to the interview same day?

I'm gonna have her do the medical this Monday, then the CFO seminar the following day on Tuesday, that way the CFO seminar is finished out of the way and hopefully by end of day Tuesday St Lukes should have her medical documents ready to pickup. By finishing the CFO seminar before the visa is issued, she will need to return to CFO after she has Visa On Hand to get the CFO stamp placed onto the visa, but that should only take a few minutes and at least she wont have to spend half a day doing the seminar immediately before she leaves Philippines.

Thanks K-1 that solves the riddle... We have ours at 815.. so they probably will be in the waiting area together... If everything stay the same with the VISA's should have in hand no later than the 16th or 17th

  5. They dont look at the beneficiaries income or employment status, for Philippines actually im sure they usually expect the Filipina is not employed lol dont worry about it at all!

Did you have to pay the $265 visa fee at BPI and wait for your NVC status change to "Ready" first before you can schedule the interview?

nope once you pay the $265(F paid the fee about 2pm her time.. my next morning.. 8-9 pm her time.. i was able to enter the receipt # and schedule the interview
