  1. if it makes you feel any better, I filed in October 2019 and received an RFE earlier this year as well asking for evidence from date of marriage till now lol Good news is, it seems approval is fast if you send in what was requested. This was my timeline after the RFE: 03-27-2023: USCIS Requested additional evidence "as it has been several years since you've submitted this petition" 05-13-2023: Sent RFE response via USPS certified Priority mail 05-17-2023: USCIS received RFE packet 05-19-2023: USCIS case status updated to “New Card is Being Produced" 05-22-2023: USCIS case status updated to “Case Was Approved" 05-24-2023: USCIS case status updated to reflect new Green Card was mailed 05-25-2023: USCIS case status updated to “Card Was Delivered To Me By The Post Office"
  2. I use an app called “case tracker” on the iPhone. Easy to use, once you login once, you never have to again. Also offers a link directly to your case status on the Uscis website.
  3. Apparently, the new USCIS process is to make the cards, then approve the case lollll May 19 - Status updates to “New Card is Being Produced” May 22 - Case Was Approved
  4. Update: 3 years and 7 months later, my husband’s green card is finally being produced, 2 days after they received my updated packet per their RFE request. I’m almost afraid to breathe…
  5. So....due to the verbiage in the RFE which requests evidence from "the date of marriage to the present", I've consolidated old and new evidence in my lovely 200 page packet with all the fervor and hopes of USCIS actually reviewing it some time in the probably distant future. Anyone have any idea if the Portland Oregon office (1455 NW Overton) accepts certified mail with signature? Any suggestions on what type of USPS mail to send for peace of mind and OCD tracking without USCIS rejecting it for god knows what reason?
  6. Incredibly jealous of those who received their GCs! I just received an RFE from USCIS with the following justification: After almost 4 years from my original filing date (and all the painstaking care I put into creating a lovely tabbed, indexed, footnoted submission with a table of contents), they're asking me for my original evidence and additional evidence because of their ineptitude and delays...I'm speechless.
  7. Every congressman will have a website where they offer assistance with federal agencies / immigration. Usually l, it’s right on their front page as an option. They each have different forms and methods for which to request assistance. You can probably Google your state and “immigration assistance.” You can use this link to find your congressman and their main website: https://www.house.gov/representatives/find-your-representative#:~:text=If you know who your, the U.S. House switchboard operator.
  8. Been waiting since October 2019. We just got my husband’s 48 month extension in the mail two days ago. I reached out to my congressman’s office last month and they indicated the case was being considered for a waiver but still no updates. It’s crazy how our spouse can live in the states for 5 years and still not hold a 10 year green card. What in the world is happening with this administration!
