You have "6 months" to use a K1, I have read. What is the clock start date? My fiancee's K1 shows a 25 september expiration date but an issuance date of 16 may (last week). that's only a little over 4 months. We will be able to meet that deadline easily, but we had expected an expiration date in November. Did the clock start when our petition was approved? (Ignore the timeline, that's my previous spouse)

Also interested in this topic. Brought 100 pounds of my fiancee's stuff with me last visit's return. And she will be bringing another 100. But she has a LOT of stuff. We started looking into sea freight but got very confused. So if anyone has information about shipping hundreds and hundreds of kilos of stuff please share. Thanks. A follow up: We just had our interview on the 15th of May. The question never came up and my Fiancee passed, she will be getting a K1 shortly. Pay no attention to the timeline, that was from a prior spouse...

What does that mean? I'd hate to get to the interview and be told we are late. Is there a way to ensure that doesn't happen?

Hi, my Indonesian fiancee and I are going for a K1... we got our I129F petition (filed last February) approved and received an I 797 NOA2... it has validity dates from 11 Jan to 10 May 2024. As soon as the NVC notified they had received our package from USCIS we filed our DS-160 and we have paid the fee and scheduled an interview at the US Embassy in Jakarta. However due to scheduling constraints our interview is for 15 May 2024... Does filing a DS-160 within the validity dates suffice or will we have a problem because we are outside the validity dates? This topic said that it wasn't a problem for London filers. But i was a bit hazy on how they determined that. Is there anything we need to do? Should we do a CEAC inquiry? This is my second time doing this, (sadly, my former Indonesian wife and I divorced, she has her green card now though) and for the most part I was able to rely on prior experience but this has me a bit puzzled. Thank you. (PS, please ignore my timeline, that was for my former wife, I was not able to figure out how to have two timelines)

My current account's timeline documents the K1 process for myself (petitioner) and my former wife (beneficiary). Sadly, we split and time moves on. I need to execute the process again with a new beneficiary. What's the best approach? Leave this account and start a second one with a blank slate? I understand there's no way to have two timelines associated with one account. I didn't see how to delete the timeline or unlink, so it looks like it can't be reused. Not that I want to anyway, it's historical data useful to the site's estimations. How do people handle this? If a second account is the way to go, guidelines on naming it? can both be associated with the same email?
