  1. I didn't – I think they can tell from the check amount! The "add-ons" are priced pretty differently. And yeah I did just the one check.
  2. I have my passport in hands! That was fast! Applied on 6/25 so just 16 calendar days! Still waiting for passport book and naturalization certificate.
  3. My passport application got approved today! That was fast. Just waiting to get it in the mail now.
  4. Thank you for the passport update! That's really not too bad! Fingers crossed over here. And sorry to hear about your cat!
  5. Cool! Yes. I just submitted my application today. Also expedited the processing and the shipping. The intake person said I can expect it between July 12th and July 23rd. Fingers crossed!
  6. Wow that's great, you really will get it within 2-3 weeks! Amazing. Assuming you expedited it?
  7. Yeah it was pretty cool! Seems like that's not the standard even at the Field Office, though. The agent who interviewed us said that he wanted to finish our interview quick so there would still be room in the "special" ceremony. They said most are just at the USCIS office and not in the courthouse. Thank you as always for updating the tracker! Love to see the US flag next to my name. That's great news on the passport! When did you submit your application? I have an appointment for tomorrow and I'm scared of the whole "mail in your certificate of naturalization" situation, especially since I'll be moving during the expedited window (so I'm having it shipped to my job). Fingers crossed that all of our passports get processed quickly!
  8. I had my naturalization ceremony last Friday, yay! The ceremony was quite nice, it was at the Federal Courthouse in San Antonio and they had a military band. I was told I could bring 1-2 guests, which I did. I believe 119 people were scheduled for the oath and 117 were present. There were 38 countries represented. They played the national anthem but also the Star Trek theme song lol which I thought was awesome. I registered to vote right away. Happy to finally be a citizen! Still feels a bit surreal. Now to get the passport and update DPS/SSA.
  9. This is awesome, thank you for making and updating the tracker! Can't wait to have a 🇺🇲 next to my name!
  10. Did any of you guys receive a 10 year greencard in the mail? The officer that approved mine said I will receive one and that I need to bring it to my oath. But I'm a bit skeptical as I've heard they don't always print it if there's already an N-400 approval on file.
  11. Mine was at 2 so we were probably there at the same time! It was a full room though so I don't remember anyone specifically.
  12. My husband helped me remember more questions: * Which ocean is on the West Coast? * What are two rights from the declaration of Independence? (Life and liberty) * What happened at the Constitutional Convention?
  13. Sorry I thought I had sent the previous message right after my interview but it was still in the browser. Just got back to Austin. It's so interesting to see all the different oath ceremonies dates and places everyone is getting from the same Field Office! Mine is on June 21st in the San Antonio courthouse. I thought surely @YellowDuneBuggy and I would have the same one since we applied on the same day and had interviews on the same day but USCIS truly is a random machine lol. My interview officer was super chatty and talkative and him and my husband just talked about kids and random things while I anxiously sat there lol. He asked us some marriage questions like "what's your pet peeve about your husband/wife" and something else that I forgot. I had to read "who lives in the White House?" and write "the president lives in the White House". I don't remember the questions exactly but I remember: * What did the first colonists came here for? (Freedom) * If the president can no longer be president, who's president (VP) I don't remember the other ones right now but right after the 6 questions (that I got correctly) the officer immediately asked.... * What's president Trump's birthday? To which I froze and then we all laughed it off bc obviously he was just goofing off. Good experience overall
  14. Had my interview in San Antonio today and was approved! Oath on the 21st in San Antonio. I asked to do the oath in Austin and they said no lol. Oh well.
  15. Had my interview in San Antonio today and was approved! Oath on the 21st in San Antonio. I asked to do the oath in Austin and they said no lol. Oh well.
  16. Also, good luck tomorrow @YellowDuneBuggy! Hopefully we both have uneventful interviews and walk away with approvals.
  17. Congrats!! How was the interview? Mine is tomorrow also in San Antonio, fingers crossed! Also did you get your oath scheduled for Austin or San Antonio? I'm hoping I don't have to make the drive a second time!
  18. No, I wanted to get into my husband's insurance b/c he has good benefits from a state job but he forgot to tell me during open enrollment lol... Our cars are owned separately too but he did guarantee my student loans so I'll take some proof of that as well. I'll also print the beneficiary stuff. When I went in for my green card interview I was so on top of it and had everything so neatly organized, this time I can barely be bothered to print and organize everything I already submitted online lol... But I know I should. Thanks for the suggestions!
  19. Organizing our documents to take to my interview on Thursday. Planning for a combo interview since I have a pending I-751 and applied under the 3-year rule. Am I missing anything? Immigrant spouse birth certificate (plus copy), green card, and passport US citizen spouse birth certificate and passport (plus copy of both) Marriage certificate, plus certified copy Tax transcripts 2020-2022; 2023 we filed for an extension and haven't filed it yet so I'm taking the confirmation email and hoping for the best Leases for the entire time we've been married to show we're living together Joint finances: we only opened a joint checking last year but taking monthly statements for that Lots of photos Random stuff like joint renter's insurance, car insurance with both our names, etc. Anything I'm forgetting?
  20. Nice, congratulations! I got my interview scheduled for 6/13. Fingers crossed!
  21. Congrats on the approval, and on getting same-day oath!
  22. Awesome, thank you! Also, for any of you who still have a I-751 pending (Removal of Conditions) and whose interview letter for the N-400 did not mention it being a combo interview / who did not get an I-751 interview notice... Did you request a combo interview? Via the portal beforehand? Or just brought your spouse and hoped for the best? I saw the following template on a different thread and I'm considering submitting a modified version of it. Thoughts?
  23. Speaking of tax returns, my husband and I filed for an extension this year (before the deadline) and paid the estimated amount we owe. Do you think that's ok or do we need to file our full 2023 returns before my citizenship interview (which will happen before the extension deadline)?
  24. No movement in mine but I did file for naturalization and just got an interview scheduled for that. Wondering if I should send in a letter asking to have a combo interview to make extra sure they also look at my ROC case.
  25. I just logged in to the portal to find that my interview will be on 6/13/2024. Notice was sent today and I haven't gotten the physical letter yet. San Antonio FO.
