Rewind to November 23, 2014, one of the most memorable day of my life, the day I met the love of my life… This day started off as any other, I was a 30 years old girl, working in an international company in UAE and not knowing what to do with my life. I was bored as most women are, so I decided to join a social networking app.
I didn’t know what I was looking for, maybe somebody to talk to? Or maybe I am trying to find my luck in this app? I uploaded my photos and answered all the required information. In just a second I receive so many message notifications from a different guy; mostly white people. At first, I am having fun replying to their messages, chatting with them, exchanging our thoughts - until I fed up. I stopped visiting that app but I still receiving a message notifications from “scout”. One day, I decided to open that app so I could delete my unread messages, I deleted all the messages on my inbox except the guy who has a code name “Chillaxin”. I was so curious about his name and next thing I know, I am starting chatting to this guy. It’s started with “Hi Aeon” (my code name is Aeon hehehe how sneaky I am ), I replied the next day after he sent that message. We hit it off straight away, chatting with each other daily; we soon came to learn that we lived at opposite ends of the world from each other. I thought, “How can it be that somebody half way round the world is so alike I?”
He said chatting with me became an addiction; he only wants to speak with me all day, every day. We quickly swapped in facebook, skype & we-chat and began messaging each other constantly. My life began to change for the better; I had never felt this happy!
Days turned into weeks, weeks became months and before you know it, we had been exchanging messages, voice calls & video calls for almost 6 months straight now. We are in love. I never thought that something so beautiful could happen over the internet. Online apps become such a huge part of our relationship; we would exchange messages throughout the day and skype during the night.
Fast forward to April 20, 2015, the most important year of our lives, we finally got to be together! Our lives changed so fast within those 6 months – we’re finally engaged – April 25th, 2015.
