Thank you for the reply. It also looks like my 2 posts were somehow merged? I had created the I864 post about an hour before the other. But anyway, thank you for the clarification. Logic was saying that they aren't part of the current application so they shouldn't be included, but may of the questions are somewhat ambiguous. I could also see it the other way, being questioned for answering No when applying for the others later. To you question, her twin brothers are 14, nearly a 20 year age gap with my wife. That sounds like a good answer for the vaccine question, very clear and direct. Thanks again, Pat

Hello. As I mentioned in another thread, my wife and I are in the process of bringing her mother here. First question. On her Mother's DS-260, it asks if you have any children, and then to list them. I assume my wife ought to be listed, and answer "No" to the questions of "Is this child immigration to the U.S. with you?", and "Is this child immigrating to the U.S. at a later date to join you?", would that be correct? I assume that they would recognize her as the petitioner by the name and U.S. address. Second question. My wife has 2 minor siblings, and her mother would be petitioning for them at some point after being here, ideally within months if all goes well. When listing them and answering the questions of "Is this child immigration to the U.S. with you?", and "Is this child immigrating to the U.S. at a later date to join you?", should we check the "Yes" box even though the petition process would be at some point in the future? Or the "No" box because nothing has been started? I haven't found clear information if the "Yes" box should be checked only if a petition is in process, or if it should also be to include future intent. Final question, regarding vaccines. The question asks "Do you have documentation to establish that you have received vaccination in accordance with U.S. law?". Her mom does not have vaccination records, so the "No" box is checked. It then has a box to "Explain". I believe it could simply state that she has been vaccinated, does not have documentation, but is willing to get vaccinated again to provide documentation. Is there anything else that could or should be entered there? I assume she'd have to go through the same physical exam and vaccination routine that my wife did when she immigrated, though some things may have changed in the past 10 years. Thank you, Pat

Hello all. My wife has been here nearly 10 years, and we are now bringing her mother to live with us. Filling out the i864, part 6 line 7 we have filled out my wife's annual income, and since it is above the 125% poverty threshold we don't need to add another income. When getting to part 6, lines 16 a/b/c which asks for the total income from recent and previous tax returns, the income is our joint total income, and of course doesn't match what is on part 6, lines 7 and 12. If they look at the attached 3 years of tax transcripts they can easily see that they are joint tax returns. Would the mismatch in the numbers cause a problem, or should we expect that they would be able to ascertain the reason for the mismatch? we could fill out the i864A, but it doesn't really seem necessary. Would it help to add an explanation in part 11 for additional information? Thank you for any help or clarification you could offer. I've got a couple of other questions, too, which I'll be adding separately. Thanks, Pat
