  1. I called, and was not asked if I was the petitioner or the beneficiary. (I'm the beneficiary)

    They asked for a case number, I gave the USCIS receipt #, next they asked me to read them the first paragraph of the approval notice, (I guess that is because our case wasn't in their system yet.) Finally they asked for the date of the approval and mentioned that I needed to wait 35 days.

    So of course I'll call back tomorrow...hahahahaha :rofl:

    :goofy:

    Ahahaha i would do the same :)

  2. You can't schedule an interview till such time that you have your case number from NVC. Once you have it then you can print the visa payment receipt, pay the fee for the interview, wait 24 hours, schedule the interview, complete the DS-160, schedule your medical, schedule or think about when you will do the CFO. Most of the forms ask for your case number so without it you can't move forward.

    Get the Embassy Letter and start gathering the needed documents CENOMAR, NBI, BC, PASSPORT etc.

    Every step for processing is at my website. If you go there and follow the instructions you will have no problem passing your interview. BUT, you have to take the first step. Use the link below at the twisting arrow. It's FREE :joy::joy::joy:

    I spend many hours compiling the information so that it is easy and without "gotchas" for the Philippine processing. I read the forums and update the website for those who are processing before you so you know what to expect. If a form changes, I have the latest forms.

    Whether you use it or not... I wish you a smooth journey getting your visa.

    Thank you for all your effort to help... i soo appreciate it later i will run through your site to read the link.. i am still in the office right now.. thank u again..

  3. Every embassy have their own rules when it comes to K1. Some like mine schedules the interview for you so we have no say in that.

    I am no expert in this so don't quote me on this but from what I heard you can schedule your interview once the petition arrives at the embassy and the status say ready. You have to fill out the DS 160 and pay the fee first of course. I can't find the link right now but I saw a few post when they didn't get the packet at all and went ahead with everything.

    Anyway you should check the Philippines sub and also this website which is specifically for Philippines K1 visas http://dennyeyberg.wix.com/filipino-am-visa

    EDIT: This page specifically say you do not have to wait for the letter so I guess thats your answer lol http://dennyeyberg.wix.com/filipino-am-visa#!manila-process-usem/c95x

    Thank you for the insights. I will gladly wait for 10 days then i will call NVC for the case number... love you all!! More approvals to come

  4. Thats what we are going to do, we got approved on 9 so we are going to start calling tomorrow. Its good to have your case number as early as you can and then you can track it on your own.

    Lol every step along the way I keep thinking if this step is done the rest is easy but you are right, every step brings new challenges.

    Agree hard to face the unknown but knowing you both going through the phases together its all worth it.. im happy for you ;)

    Praying for More approvals to come for us october filers!!

  5. I don't know yet I just recive the notification from application I wait the recipe to come in the mailbox to my fiancé to see their requests..congratulations to all that recive their approval I hope will be ok for me too :(

    Oh I haven't done that , maybe that's why...

    Cheer up... you will get the approval a little later than expected once you get all the needed information that they are asking u will too get your notice of approval. Keep the postive vibes ;)

  6. I just recive my RFE :(

    What caused the RFE??

    Try your best to respond, return your RFE response with all the requested evidence before the deadline given by USCIS with a cover letter of respond to the RFE. Your approval will happen soon after addressing the RFE, :luv:

    USCIS adjudication officer uses RFEs to request additional information on the pending application under any of the following circumstances:

    (1) Something is not clear in a case that you have filed;

    (2) If there is a document missing;

    (3) the officer needs updated information on your case;

    (4) the RFE notice was issued by mistake or in error;

    (5) the RFE letter was issued for any other reasons the adjudication officer likes.

  9. Hey guys! Don't let stress overwhelm you.

    When we were waiting for the NOA2 I was getting depressed because people with a NOA1 later than us were getting approved.

    I was having doubts: is it because my fiancé is divorced, is it because I'm Mexican, is it because of my age?????

    The moment I stopped looking constantly, that is when the approval came through. 37 days it took.

    For what I have seen, and without being an expert, if your case is rejected it is pretty quick. Either you payed the wrong fee, you filed the wrong forms, you didn't sign it etc. , etc.

    The only two options left if either an approval or an RFE and both of them mean the case isn't rejected!!! So don't worry and keep the positive thoughts.

    We are all in the same path and I wish you all a soon Approval!!!

    :goofy: :goofy: :goofy:

    Awww thank you Janina for keeping the positive vibes. Having to wait on something u have no control about is such a challenge... I am prayinh more on the approvals for all of us..
